Both the geysers wer not functional but my parents were provided with an immersion rod for heating water. Rest no complaints.

I booked this room for my parents. The location is very near to mall road but is quite a bit uphill from the train station. You can walk or take a bus. It is better to call the owner in advance and ask for directions. The room was perfect. The room size is huge for 2 people. It had a wardrobe and an attached balcony with a nice view. Kitchen was fully equipped with gas burner, oven, refrigerator and also washing machine. The rooms, toilet, drawing room (shared with another room), toilets (private) were neat and clean. The owner was very friendly and understanding with my parents. She also helped my aged parents acrry the suitcase to some distance. We had a small problem in the beginning, but it was sorted out very quickly.

We missed the independence of being in a hotel. The hosts- Mr Gaurav & Mrs Jyoti- are superb but we were hosted with so much love and care that were hesitant in asking for the requirements. It felt as if we needed a favour. Eg- my child puked and spoilt the bedsheet and blanket. Had I been in any hotel, I would have strongly asked for a new bedsheet etc but instead, Mrs Jyoti demanded me the compensation of ₹500 for the dry clean and also told me that she incurred the loss as the next guess refused to take up the room. All this happened after one day we checked out. That makes me sceptical as the rooms have to be redressed before giving it to the next guest- even I found a used towel in my washroom but I overlooked it then. Also, the washbasin of the washroom was choked- which was a bit troublesome. But I do understand that renting the property is a tough task. I want to say sorry for my child puked in the room but such things are mentally torturing for the parents before anybody else and my child's ill health was something unexpected and this makes me regret about my decision to chose A1 B&B instead of any hotel. However, Gaurav and Jyoti are really wonderful people and I'm sure they'll fix such issues like washbasin etc soon. I've transferred ₹500 to them (with a heavy heart) as I don't want them to be disappointed to have hosted me or my family. I would recommend my friends to visit them whenever they'll be in Shimla.

Ignoring the aftermath, the Hospitality was amazing- I visited any B&B for the first time and felt like being hosted at any relative's place.

Incorrect information at booking. com, thereby trying to make us pay twice. Flat was in a bad condition, smelled musty and was very cold. There was also strange hair in the bathroom. The kitchen was dusty and unusable. The last impertinence: for 2 broken heaters they demanded 100 rupees each. Not to be recommended

The host had a very rude behavior. On the 2nd day i.e. 15th april, he asked me to make the payment and i told him to do later as I was outside. He kept calling us as he was intoxicated with alcohol and said very rude things. Even after making the payment on G-pay, he probably couldn't find it(though he did later), but before that,he kept calling us at 11;30 PM and even threatened us by saying that you're lying and I'm coming there in 5 minutes(at 12AM) if I don't get the money in 5 minutes. He kept calling and later, his wife called (who was crying) to apologize and said he was drunk. The Geysers were also not functioning properly and they spent 5 hours in front of us to get some repairing done which caused a lot of inconvenience for us. The location was also not very good.

The apartment was spacious.
