When it comes to location, this hotel is unbeatable! The first thing that stands out is the excellent security: CCTV cameras are in operation, there is always someone at reception, and the windows are secured with protective grilles. The staff are incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist, making you feel right at home. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the Ganga River and the main Ghats. To reach it, you’ll need to navigate a bustling upper street, but once past it, you can immerse yourself in the charming atmosphere of the old town.

Clean, quiet place in the middle of Varanasi old town The staff were super helpful and kind, they allowed us to check in very early which was such a relief after a long train journey. They can organise morning boat rides for very reasonable prices and advise re places to eat etc

As I said the location is very central, so no cars can reach there, meaning you'll probably have to walk through narrow and crowded streets with your luggage. (but I imagine it'd be the same for all other hotels in the area). Also, the hotel restaurant was always closed.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The staff was helpful. The location is very central, which in Varanasi is both good and bad (as it can be hard to reach).

Hot water was not always provided, we had a cold shower. The kitchen was closed, we expected it open.

Simple and clean homestay. Excellent services, Anand Kanan's staff helped us quickly and efficiently for any request we had. Quite during the night (not easy at all in Varanasi!) and very close to the main attractions of the city. I would suggest it.

Wish I could stay loanger.

The guesthouse is centrally located, just 5 minutes walk to where the nightly riverside ceremony is. Shyam, Sanju and their team are really nice people, organising everything for me efficiently. They arranged return airport transfer for me. As car can only access the main road near the guesthouse, they have staff member waiting there to take me to the guesthouse, and walking with me to the pickup point on departure. The room is spacious and comfortable. I won't hesitate at all to recommend this place for the people, location and exexceptional value for money.

The shower could have done with a shower curtain, but this is being very picky. One note of caution, a wheeled suitcase would be difficult in this location, as you need to walk 10 minutes through narrow alleyways to get to the hotel. Travel backpack highly recommended.

The location was excellent, close to the main Ghatt and there was a great view from the rooftop. Lots of food and shopping options very close by. You will love Varanasi.

Wonderful guest house in fabulous location 5min walk from main ghat, to enjoy the experience of being in the midst of old Varanasi. Clean, modern room, with comfortable bed. We enjoyed discussions with Dr Singh on the history of Varanasi and Hindu religion. Dr Singh was also most helpful arranging transportation and guided tour. Highly recommend.

Great location and the owner is very kind. He helped to arrange a boat tour and a early morning transfer to the train station. The wi-fi worked well in the room. It's a 5-min. walk to the main ghat. It's simple, but has everything to offer a confortable stay while you're in Varanasi.

The location of Anand Kanan is perfect, right on the Ghats - so perfect for exploring Varanasi. Dr Singh assisted us in organising a guide which really helped us better understand the history and rituals. If you want to really experience all Varanasi has to offer this is most definitely the place to stay. We also really enjoyed our conversations with Dr Singh.

Need to walk 5 minutes to reach the hotel from the main street.

The staff was very helpfull supporting to book train and for any request. He wrote us on whatsapp before the trip to make sure everything was ok. The room was clean and confortable. The location is really near one of the main Ghat.
