We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

United KingdomStayed 4 nights (2 adults, 1 child) in April and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food and drinks were great. And the view of the bay at the restaurant is idyllic. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots to do for kids, pottery classes, art classes, pool. And safe beach with a lifeguard. Our room was huge and beds were comfortable. Cleaned every day with fresh towels, plus beach towels. Our room was across the road near the pool, but still only 2 mins walk to the beach and restaurant. Yoga and massage on offer too, but didn't try these. Took a boat to butterfly beach, honeymoon beach, saw turtle rock, and saw dolphins. If you go by tuktuk to the north end of Palolem beach you can take a boat to punt along the backwaters (best at high tide) to see birds and kingfishers in the mangroves. Went by tuktuk to Patnem beach for dinner. Recommend Zest for delicious veggie food. 15 mins by taxi is Mallikarjun temple which is worth a visit. Highly recommend Art Resort at Palolem.

United KingdomEverything was great. The swimming pool can get busy, but we just kept an eye out for when it was quiet and went when it was quieter. It's easy to do other things, because there's plenty to do.
This resort is a gem! If you want a posh hotel, you will be unaligned with this property's vision. It has a unique style for those who want an authentic connection with art, people, and mental wellbeing. We loved the boat bath. The studio space for our family, which had enough room for us to watch movies when the sun was hot, chill with a snack on our balcony or inside, or read a book, catch up on emails, and do a bit of work or play games. Everyone could have their space. The art classes exceeded my expectations. They were 1000 for me and 800 for my kids, 6 and 8. The guy took us step by step and taught us fun techniques, and we will all remember. It was like being on an art retreat, and rarely people can teach adults and children at the same time. The restaurant has great food and the waiters are very thoughtful and friendly. They reserved us a lovely table each evening and we enjoyed the live music. We also enjoyed other restaurants in the area. There are so many great restaurants, a short walk along the beach or across the road. The room was cleaned daily. They brought fresh towels and drinking water daily. The staff were so lovely and friendly. I loved the morning yoga classes. They're extra, but not expensive and well worth it. The gym is decent. There's a small extra charge. It's really good equipment and well-maintained.

GermanyThe friendly staff and personalised service are exceptional! The western(ised) food was much to our liking! The menu has a lot of tasty options to offer delicious choices throughout our stay. The kids enjoyed the ocean and pool so much that we didn't even get to try the yoga, art and pottery classes or the massage. We stayed in the village resort across the street which is still very close to the beach, closer to the pool + pool restaurant and offers outdoor bathtubs to conveniently rinse off the kids. Beachside huts have beach views but you might hear the live music in the evenings till 10pm - village resort seems to be the family friendly option for smaller kids. We hope to be able to come back soon!!

United KingdomOur stay at the Art Resort was absolutely perfect, and went above what we expected. We stayed for 6 nights in one of the double rooms which was really spacious and was cleaned every day. All of the staff at Art Resort are so friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable, especially Kamal who went above and beyond for us (and Raj who makes amazing cocktails). The food was incredible, we ended up eating at the restaurant for 90% of the trip because it was so good and we wanted to try everything on the menu (the Goan fish curry was the best). In the restaurant there's live music every night which is a really nice touch and great way to spend the evening. I'd recommend Art Resort to anyone wanting to visit Palolem - it's perfect for a relaxing beach holiday in Goa.

PolandThe stay here was wonderful. The entire resort is on the beach and has a holiday, relaxing atmosphere. The bungalows are comfortable and cozy (although of course you shouldn't expect a five-star hotel standard). The crew is excellent - always smiling and helpful. In addition, great food, a wonderful beach and hotel sunbeds, for which there was never a queue. It was a really great stay! Thank you!

SwitzerlandVery nice cottages in the back of the resort, next to the pool (view is blocked through a wall around the pool, but therefor also no noise). We stayed as a family, bunk bed top is challenging cause no barrier, but family bed is big enough to fit three (if kids are still small). Very nice staff and excellent food. The offer in classes is a great plus.

IndiaThe Air conditioning stopped often which was not so pleasant. We had to call them every time to get it fixed. The bunk bed could have been replaced by a better option.
We stayed for six nights and the overall experience was mesmerizing. We appreciate the staff's approachable and kind behaviour. The food and the live music were amazing. We enjoyed Angel Ferry's and Danish's performance. The poolside staff and the pool itself were great. The bathtub was the main highlight of the room.

United StatesGreat hotel with great family rooms and awesome location right on the beach!! As a family of 4, we loved having our own family suite with a small enclosed balcony that we could sit outside but still have privacy. We ate some of our restaurants at the property's restaurant and some we walked to other places on the beach or in town.

United KingdomVery hard to think of anything without being picky.
The whole resort was fabulous. The accommodation basic but clean and comfortable. The restaurant had a comprehensive menu, the food delicious and live music good. However, the staff were magnificent, very friendly, attentive and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Great customer service all round.

GermanySide sea view was not very good. My room was close to the restaurant, therefore it smelled a lot like food in the morning and evening. Bunk bed was irritating and gave the room a hostel vibe. Be aware that Palolem is quite busy and there are many sellers at the beach. If you prefer more privacy I recommend Agonda or Patnem Beach.
Resort is nice and quite a creative place, they offer different art/ pottery and yoga classes which I liked. Rooms are clean, nice private balcony and food in the restaurant is good.

CanadaThere are two issues which would stop me from returning, even though I really loved the place and appreciate so many things about it. The first issue is that there are constant sellers on the beach who never ever leave you alone for a moment - during the day when you are on the beach loungers, and at night when you are trying to enjoy a nice dinner. The resort puts up a huge sign saying "strictly no sellers are allowed to disturb our guests" or something to that effect - and yet we are disturbed constantly without a moments rest. I wonder: what is the point of putting a sign when no one enforces it? It feels very disingenuous and pointless to have a sign there, when clearly it does not deter the sellers at all -- not even one little bit. the second thing - and which might not bother anyone else, is that there is music seven nights a week until 10:30pm, and people linger afterwards and talk loudly, so that there is only really full quiet from 11:30pm onward.
Truly a unique and interesting property. You feel like you are in Goa, not some generic resort which could be anywhere. The rooms are large and decorated in a lovely way. The beds are super comfy, hot water works well and the overall feel of the place is homey and nature is everywhere around you - the sound of the sea, the birds chirping... The restaurant serves excellent food, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is art everywhere (hence the name - Art Resort) which really adds to the eclectic feel of the place. the main part of the resort is right on the beach. It truly is one of the most unique places I have ever stayed at in all of my 33 times visiting India. A real gem of a place.

Excellent Staff. Super excellent and interested owner Bhuvan who looks after the smallest detail for comfort of the guests. Raj, the Bar king is best in Palolem. Super prompt and polite staff especially Kamal, Anil, Swaroop and Deepak. The best resort by far in entire Goa and second to none in entire Palolem. Kudos to the Team Art Resort for an exceptional and super comfortable stay. My fifth stay here and can not wait to visit again👍👌🙂
