I stayed in two rooms, and while the water pressure in one of the showers was a bit weak, it was still manageable. Overall, everything was fantastic!

I absolutely loved this place! It’s right on the beach, and the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. A special thanks to Samuell, he was incredibly responsive and helpful. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe throughout my stay. If you visit, I highly recommend choosing a sea-view room. You'll get to enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets right from your window seat! And if not, the beach is literally just outside the doorstep.

Plenty of hot water, but the shower was weak. We've gotten used to the Indian bucket method anyway. The train seemed to block the road every time we went into town.

Upstairs features large rooms with a direct view of the beach and ocean. Lots of hanging and storage space. Great a/c and fans. Super nice and helpful manager, Samuel. Maybe the friendliest hotelier we met in India. Probably the nicest room too. Definitely the quietest. The beach here is a nice distance from the ugly highway overpass that ruined much of the shoreline. Decent restaurants within a two minute walk (no alcohol nearby though).

Our room was super bright and spacious, had a lovely view of the ocean, bed was comfortable, everything felt clean. The staff were very helpful! Samuel was amazing at organising our backwater tour and yoga. It’s in a nice area with cute restaurants around.

The room view ...u can see the sea from your bed and the carrtaker Samuel is a very good caretaker and helps you with everything...we stayed at expensive resorts also but this was the best stay we had in Kerala without spending much .....😍

There wasn’t much within walking distance but then we’ve found that a lot on this trip but the manager arranged a really lovely man to take us about in tuk tuk.

Nice quiet and safe little spot to spend a day or so - staff extremely accommodating and helpful and recommended lovely place to eat for breakfast. Clean and lots of hot water for a nice shower.

I had a wonderful stay at Asthamaya Homestay in Alleppey. The staff and service were excellent, especially Samuel, who was exceptionally gentle and professional in handling customers and providing service. The property has four rooms – two on the first floor and two on the ground floor. The rooms on the first floor offer a stunning beach view, making the stay truly memorable. For those staying in the ground-floor rooms, a short walk brings you to the beautiful beach view. Overall, this homestay is great value for money, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Alleppey.

I really liked my stay at Ashthaya beach resort. The room and bathroom are very spacious. Deep cleaned. The beach view form the room was very scenic. The host was very friendly and helped in planning activities in the city.

clean spacious room looking straight onto the beach (when booking, choose the room with sea view, if you don’t, you want get a sea view🤣). room had large windows at each end of the room, with efficient mosquito nets. We opened everything up and had a sea breeze flowing through the room. Samuel was a delight. friendly, funny, courteous and professional. He happily helped us and organised rickshaws, boat trips and places to eat. I would return just because of him (the fact the room was so comfortable also helps). catamaran cafe (2 minutes walk away) was a god send. great food and atmosphere
