CanadaI have 2 points of advice for the management: 1) Respond to inquiries from confirmed guests, and 2) Promptly address requests for drinking water. The details: After confirming our stay, I sent a message via my reservation on Booking.com shortly after 5 AM on the day of our arrival, asking for the best way to reach the property from the railway station, and how much it should cost. I never received an answer. After arriving in Jaipur, we tried walking from the station because the distance didn’t seem far, then gave up because the traffic was so intense and it didn’t feel safe to continue on foot. We managed to get a rickshaw for the rest of the way, and had no idea at that point of what an appropriate price would have been for the trip. I asked the manager when we arrived (in a rather frazzled state) why no one had responded to my inquiry, and he said that they had been short-staffed and had to process many checkouts that day. Our question was not complex, this info isn’t always accurate on Google, and it would not have taken more than a minute to answer by a staff member. I believe 7 hours in advance of check-in should have provided ample time to respond, had anyone been checking the messages. Secondly: We asked for a bottle of drinking water when we checked in, because we were dehydrated after a 4 hour train trip with no AC. The staff member at the front desk said he’d have it sent up. After 20 minutes, no one had brought the water to our room, so I went downstairs to get it. That staff member was sitting behind the reception desk, and no guests were in sight. He did not appear busy with anything in particular, and I think he simply forgot about our water. The management should advise the staff that dehydration is a serious risk, and when someone asks for drinking water, they should provide it promptly.
This is a beautifully designed property, with comfortable, well-lit, spacious common areas.

Fair price, generous portions, homely and tasty! Convenient location: metro, intercity buses, shops and restaurants, mall... Now, during my stay there was a problem with the water. See the pictures. One day, I had no hot water. Then cold water would be very dirty with rust, I'm guessing.

IndiaFailed to mention the building site at our room window which was operating heavy machinery from around 10pm until around 1am so sleeping was near impossible. Hotel staff would not relocate our room due to capacity but this disturbance should’ve been made apparent as we probably would’ve stayed elsewhere in order to actually sleep. No refund or discount was offered after I requested and was simply told ‘we have no control over them’ this building work will probably be happening for the next few months so be wary when booking.
Good facilities, good food, value for money is good with accommodation. Allowed us to store bags after checkout

IndiaAthithi Guest House made our stay in Jaipur truly special with its warm hospitality and thoughtful service. The owner, Mr Tanmey Shukla ji, went above and beyond to assist us with our local sightseeing. He provided a detailed printed city map, patiently marking the best places to visit and explaining the proper route. This made our day trip much smoother and hassle-free. His local insights were incredibly helpful, allowing us to explore the city efficiently. His wife was equally kind and generous—when we struggled to find an ATM nearby, she not only helped us locate one but also provided a cash envelope, which was a lifesaver at the moment. The kitchen team was another highlight of our stay. They prepared our meals quickly and deliciously, ensuring we always had fresh and tasty food. The in-house restaurant served some of the best food we had in Jaipur, adding to our overall experience. The entire staff was courteous and attentive, making us feel completely at home. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality, Athithi Guest House is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

SwitzerlandQuite noisy because of traffic on the big road and of the mosque next door (pray call). Rooms are very basic: thin mattress, no bathroom carpet, no chair, no desk (although space would allow). Staff is not particularly friendly. In the end, quality over price ratio is ok because price is cheap. You just get what you pay for, nothing more.

IndiaWell for starting, the locality of the property isn't good, I did like the dirty road, urine stinking from the side wall, the chaos that was around the property. But I could have ignored all that but the rooms themselves were not properly cleaned, you could easily figure out the stains on the floors, bed sheets, the furniture itself looked soiled. Washroom taps were leaking and the floor again were with stains which looked old.
I liked the conduct of the support staff and the property owner himself, the food was also good that I tried on the first day of arrival.

IndiaThe toilets in the restaurant downstairs smelled of urine. When you opened the door to go out of the hotel premises, the smell of urine and rotten food hit our noses (there was no smell in the room or in the restaurant). The smell also reached out to the rooftop terrace when we were working. There was no insulation to the room so sounds and cold seeped in. Cab drivers parked cars there during the night (also contributing to the urine smells) and we could hear them frequently arguing. The hotel could use a shower curtain so that the whole bathroom doesn't get wet when one showers. No housekeeping done during our stay of three days, so it got pretty dusty by the time we were ready to leave
The terrace garden was nice and the staff was pleasant. They provided us with a heater on request. The location is pretty central

IndiaThe bed was not comfortable at all . The lady staff who was cleaning and dusting was serving food at restaurant. Water was served in disposable glass. There was no drinking water in the room. Or empty water glasses. Very pathetic experience. We will not come back for sure . Or we will not recommend this property to our family and friends. The other staff was standing at reception while checking but did not help with our baggage. Very bad experience.

BelgiumWhile the room was superficially clean, maintenance is severely lacking. Our bed sheets and towels were full of holes, the bathroom definitely needs a good scrub, with stains on the walls and around the toilet. This experience did not match our expectations for the price.
The room is spacious, the shower gets hot and has a lot of pressure. Strategic location to discover Jaipur, close to the metro.
