It would be nice if there is cafeteria just for tea and coffee and a bread toaster, may be a provision to buy bread omelet. And a washing machine would be a great idea.

Very compact but spacious, clean, home like feel, safe and very much on the main road and calm serene place. Value for money.

I am regular customer. AC was not working asked room change.After lot request, with big hesitation and unwillingly gave room which was shared room. Greatly disappointed. No customer care and least bothered because of high rating in booking.com they are getting business. So don't care attitude.

Avea was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bed were a good size, especially for a single room. It was very clean. There was an area to sit outside when I wanted. There was a night security guard, which made it feel very safe. The location was a good escape from the chaos downtown, but still had good restaurants and stores. The price was good.

Avea is located in Anna Nagar. The building has a lot of creepers, which really helps to provide some form of privacy from the other buildings and the main street. Getting an auto or an Ola ride is also pretty easy from here. A popular landmark is Ambiga Cinemas, which is across the road (in case you need to tell the auto driver for pick up/drop off). The room was slightly small, but it was clean and comfortable enough for a few nights' stay. There are also some tables and chairs for guests to use downstairs. We were happy with our room. The host at the reception (Ram) is such a nice guy! He answered each and every query patiently, suggested different options for us to take the auto, about visiting the Meenakshi temple, as well as some of the logistics for our next trip to Pondicherry. That honestly made our stay a lot more comfortable and relaxed. Thank you! Although there aren't breakfast options at the hotel itself, there are MANY restaurants, bakeries, tea stalls etc along the street/walking distance. There's a stall in the evening (right opposite the hotel - across the road), selling crispy vada and other local snacks. I'd definitely recommend for you to try it. Yummo! There are mosquitoes outside - just use repellent, and you will be fine!

The way cheated by providing bunk beds for 70 yr.d parents in second floor without any lift. No restaurants attached or nearby . They charged zRs.2000 for bunk beds. Don't recommend further

I had a terrible experience at this property in India. The toilet broke while I was sitting on it. The owner took nearly 2 hours to provide a new room, and then insisted that the only available room was more expensive, and I would have to pay the difference. She even claimed that I had to reimburse her for the "damage" I supposedly caused by breaking the toilet. I am utterly appalled by the owner's materialistic and money-minded attitude. The quality of the property was subpar, and I ended up checking out early because I couldn't bear to stay in such conditions. I did not even bother to request a refund, that's how bad it was. I want to make it clear that I am not at fault, as this was not due to misuse on my part. I would strongly advise against staying at this place. ---

This is not fit for family because feeling alcohol smell in room & also we saw one person taking alcohol casually outside near our room.Two much disturbance, many of them sitting near reception and speaking loudly (kind of bachelor hostel).You cannot expect peaceful .May be bachelors can enjoy if they have drinking party etc.I requested refund but staff told that he will check and come back but he didn’t come back.Considering safety etc we left immediately.

I travelled to Madhurai with my sister. Hotel was 1 km away from Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam Temple. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very helpful. Biggest problem for tourist in Tamilnadu is language barrier, but staff at Avea were fluent in English. So we didn;t face language issue.

The young lady at the reception was soo helpful, ordered me meals and the young guy was very helpful in booking my rides and very pleasant and kind. My best stay in India so far. Everything! The location was great, the rooms was so clean and comfortable but the best part was the staff. They are amazing. Ram is an absolute credit to Avea he is such a kind, helpful person he made our stay so enjoyable. Palamin the security guard is also a very nice gentleman and made sure our bike was safe every time and helped us with a smile every day. I didn’t catch the young girl’s name as she wasn’t there when we checked out but she was also super nice 😃 Thanks Avea and see you again soon 🇮🇳🙏🏼
