Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

not really, everything looks as its mentioned
Pleasant atmosphere at the property, common area is nice with ample amount of space to kill the time along with fellow travelers, local eatries are very close to property along with different modes of transport available at a minute walk however we just halted for a day to catch the flight .

Super Friendly place , with big common space to chill around with other hostel people, You can literally walk out anytime for food, tea considering property is 24*7 open. Location is win win in any given condition.

Staff Behaviour They won't show the DOM, tell me to wait until 2:00 PM. And if you pay right now you can use the DOM. Also they have timings for AC, you can use AC only after 07:00 PM.

There could have been some activities planned from hostel's side. But overall no complaints
The dorm beds and the washroom were clean, the location was on the road but still the rooms were quiet and comfortable.Very conveniently located just next to the metro station, nice common area , and courteous staff .

I had a wonderful stay at The Backpackers Villa Mumbai! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with well-maintained beds and pillows. The location is fantastic—just 200 meters from the metro, with easy access to Uber, markets, and restaurants. The owner, Mr. Raj, was super helpful and welcoming, creating a positive and friendly vibe. Highly recommend it for a convenient and comfortable stay!

A real cool place to stay comfortably away from home. The accomodation rates were very reasonable. The facilities were very good and the staff were very helpful too. The location is very well placed and is very easy to commute anywhere in Mumbai. A nice way to meet new people too in one of the most friendly city of India. Mumbai Meri Jaan ..... :)

Such a gem in the middle of Mumbai ! I was recommended to stay here by a friend - I only booked one night initially but upon arrival booked two extra nights. Great atmosphere, such friendly and fun staff with lots of knowledge and humor. Comfortable rooms, clean facilities, and a great hostel to meet like-minded travelers. I will be back!

Nothing. Everything was superb.
I had booked separate room since I was there for work. The room and bathroom were very clean. Location is bang on with good restaurants nearby. Really speaking I had not imagined such kind of rooms in a hostel with decent price tag. The owners are very polite and humble. Would recommend to those who are travelling solo for work and would like to make spend some time playing TT, carrom and guitar.
