Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The place is great. Staff very good The room we stayed in had two old chairs in very bad shape. The seat foam is completely gone. The chair and both the divan fabric is dirty. The wash basin has no shelf and the bathroom lights are not very good. I will still return to this place.

Beds were hard , no sheet just blanket for the bed .
Fantastic area , super friendly guys also saved luggage at the check in till later in the day . Nice bathroom

The internet was broken most of the stay - and never worked at all in the rooms at the back near the Kitchen
Good place, really great friendly staff who made all of the difference. Breakfast was served to the room and was OK.

Rooms are not so clean, curtains very dirty,should be washed or better removed.With a little efford and little money you could make this room very nice looking.
The staff is very polite and very helpful.Early check if possible in is no problem. If you ask for something,you get it. Money change is fair to good conditions. Very good location plus Bus connection right there. Lots of space in the room. Simple breakfast: coffee,toast,Butter,jam. All in all a good place.

The bathroom could be improved. Toilet roll holder, a shelf for toiletries, hanging rail for towels.
Great location, close to Gate of India. Luggage storage very useful. Helpful staff. Tea, coffee and a kettle!

Sheets on bed. Toilet paper in bathroom.
Location is perfect for Mumbai sights. Room is spacious and clean but basic - only an undershirt and blanket on bed, no oversheet. Bring your own toilet paper as none provided. Breakfast in room each morning is very nice. Very secure location either guard on front 24 hours

Our room was on the small side, but we booked late and other rooms we saw were much bigger, some with a balcony. It was fine for us and typical of budget Indian accommodation.
The location was perfect, couldn't have been better. On the corner of Colaba causeway market, with Gateway of India and Taj hotel a few minutes walk. All the main sights are within walking distance, bus station right opposite, mini market around the corner for essentials. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Room was neat and clean, towels, soap and toilet paper provided. Ceiling fan was efficient and there was a kettle, a real bonus. Free drinking water was available from a dispenser in the hall. Ticked lots of boxes for us. Staff were smiley, friendly and very helpful. The manager is a mine of local information. There were always staff available day and night, including a security man on the door 24/7. Tea/coffee and toast served in the room each morning and cleaning/ linen change every three days. WiFi reception was very good.

WiFi was pretty awful, sometimes didnt work at all and the other times it was very slow. Also 4G/LTE signal inside is really really bad
Great location, good value price. Everything was clean etc, bed comfy, bathroom good. Lots of main attractions a short walk away, and loads of great restaurants nearby

Other guest used our facilities if we left unlocked . Manager kindly cleaned after this.
Good location, very close to Gateway to India. Large room. Pleasant to sit in Private balcony. Own toilet outside, as per booking. Simple toast and coffee/tea breakfast but nice having room service.

Hygiene issue was there in one of the room. We got our room changed. That room was clean but almirah was not working properly.

The amenities aren’t so modern and everything looks somewhat dated. But I guess it can add a charm to it
The location here is everything. Everything you might want to do as a tourist is closeby An emphasis is placed on safety here. Cctv, gatekeeper and safety dogs.
