Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The place was very clean and quite with a fabulous hospitality from staff. They also offer homemade dinner and lunch which feels like home. They helped me with VIP darshan also which saved my time. U can also get 24hrs transportation service from that place amd it only takes 15-20 mins with auto rickshaw. Overall it was a very good and pleasant stay.

The hostel is such a piece of art. The stay was amazing,the beds and dorms are great and comfortable. The terrace had special attention of chilling. Staff were amazing and accomodating. The location is near from Kashi Vishwanath temple. The location is best. The personnel were so nice and helpful. It's value for money. I highly recommend staying here and will continue to come back everytime I am in Varanasi

"I had incredible stay at BITS Campus in varanasi! The hostel exceed expectations in every way. The dormitory was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with super comfy bed and pillows. But what truly made my stay special was the exceptional hospitality from Mr. Santosh at the hostel. He went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome at home. From helping me with my luggage to providing insider tips on exploring varanasi, Mr. Santosh warmth and kindness made all the difference. The hostel amenities were top notch, with wifi and delicious lunch. The location of hostel are absolutely ideal with easy access to all major attractions. Whether you want to visit fabulous ghats, explore local market everything is rickshaw ride away. If you're looking for a fantastic place to stay in varanasi look no further than BITS Campus. And be sure to ask for Mr. Santosh- he will take care of you like family!

One of the best place to stay. Close to Godholiya Chowk. this place has an extremely good vibe. The rooms are comfortable, cosy and clean. The terrace holds a special attraction for chilling. You will meet like minded people with whom you can vibe and travel. The staff is exceedingly cooperative and helpful. 24 hrs transportation from there. They also offer VIP darshan which helped us a lot.Highly Highly recommended

The personnel were so nice and helpful. I was able to leave my bag for a couple of hours without any extra fees. The bathroom and WCs were clean. Nice lounge, beautiful terrace to relax if you have the time. The location is a bestie -just in the heart of the city, safe good standing area. 24hrs transportation service for temple and also they offer VIP darshan for us which helped us alot. Food served was just like home. Must recommend place to visit

It was my first time hostel experience and turned out to be really awesome👌. Traveling solo was once costlier because of single room charges but now hostel like BITS made it very budget friendly. There hostel is very neat and clean, the owner behavior is very generous. It's 10/10 and must be considered if you are traveling to Kashi.

No flush & hand jet in the toilets. No geyser in the bath rooms. No proper wash basin for hand wash & saving/teeth brushing. Heavy mosquitoes & No arrangements to mitigate it. Tent house like rented very thin mattress with foldable beds, not able to sleep. No hanger or wardrobe in room & in bath room to hang cloths. There are many more and actually it shaken our faith on booking.com Shared all above with Owner Mr. Santosh Chaturvedi to first take care of these points then only take further bookings. No parking place to park my SUV as well.
