We went for a family vacation, the experience was great! The staff was super helpful specially Mr. Vikas and Mr. Gaurav! They made are stay so comfortable, the property has an amazing view of the Ganga!

The way down to river is steep stairs and a tiny area to sit down so not actually really on the Ganges . It is created at multiple levels and stairs so elderlies will need to take buggy to use other facilities

Noisy guests with mic access allowed till 11 pm plus was a disturbing element. Some rules around that would help maintain the peace of the place.

Staff staff staff! Raga is a beutiful resort set into the side of a mountain with fantastic views over the Ganga river. The staff are incredible attentive, and made our stay very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was great and the location is superb - it's quite far from Rishikesh center but nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a really relaxed vibe. Special mention must go to Gurupal Singh who works at the hotel and took us on a fantastic trek in the mountains one morning. He knows the area and also was excellent serving us in the restaurant. Shivani took us for a complementary yoga class on the beach which was also lovely. Rooms are probably not 5* standard anymore, they are a little tired and old and could be cleaner but the magic of the location made up for it.

The hotel is FAR out, so don’t expect to be able to pop into Rishikesh for day trips unless it’s well organized at least 24 hours in advance and don’t expect to leave until you have to make your next flight or leave Rishikesh. It doesn’t seem like many foreign travelers come here, so the level of English is not super high but everyone made their best effort and I had a great time. Be warned that there are often firecrackers that go off during the day to scare away naughty monkeys.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel - the location on the banks of the Ganga is unreal and the daily sunrise hikes across the nearby bridge and down to the shores of the river are a MUST. Big shout out to Pankaj, the young activity manager! The food at the restaurant is fantastic and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The spa also offered great services at reasonable prices with a lot of timing flexibility.

Female masseurs were not available, which was a limitation for ladies to take spa treatments.

Location is excellent. The view from our room was mesmerizing. Food was tasty and served promptly. Mr. Vinod at the restaurant took very good care of us. 'Ganga Ji Aarti' happening every evening was a pleasant gesture and we loved it very much. Also enjoyed reading some quality content at the library. Overall a pleasant stay.

Expensive

We stayed at the Ganga cottage which was clean and spacious and came with a private sitout. The location of the property is stunning with amazing views, access to a secluded white sand beach and plenty of photo corners. Breakfast was included in the package and had a huge spread. High tea was included in the package too and had a decent spread of pakoras, sandwiches and tea time cakes. Staff and service was superb. Perfect combination of luxury and comfort.

Little options options during breakfast and tea time for gluten and dairy free. No hand/ face towels provided in room and not enough loo roll.

Property is about an hour from Rishikesh unlike 30 minutes mentioned on the booking.com website. So the logistics and absolutely change.
