Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not recomended if you don't have a vehicle to ply you to the town and back.
A good stay in Kargil. Bit away from Town. But friendly hosts. For a stopover before reaching Srinagar or Leh, this is a good place.

What really stood out for us it was the exceptional service and hospitality. From the moment we checked in, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always eager to assist with any request. They made us feel welcome and ensured that our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend for anyone visiting Kargil. Some things too improve immediately hotel Parking area, focus to more clean inside the house and outside the house, add more basic amenities, consider to change furniture
The place is so lovely! And the host is super responsive, always ready to help with! We had absolutely great experience there! Everything is fine about it - budget friendly, Good location, Decent rooms.

There were some minor issues with the shower, but they fixed everything quickly.
I stayed at Hotel Border View twice. It's easy to find, located on the way out of the city towards Srinagar. Friendly staff, good internet. They helped us find the bus station where shared taxis depart for Zanskar. Overall, if you just need to spend 1-2 nights in Kargil, this is a good option.

The staff was very helpful with making sure that I was comfortable and that I had a great experience. The hotel is simple but comfortable. Easy walk to town and great food.

I think that this would be an average hotel in this area if it wasn´t for its manager Abbas. He is a real treasure for a tourist like me, travelling alone. He very willingly helped to solve everything I needed, arranged some trips in the area and even personally went with me to the Aryan valley when the driver didn´t speak English. I really enjoyed travelling around thanks to him.

- the windows do not close really good so cold air will get in - all the sounds come into the room due to poor phonic isolation (from the outside and from the lobby - Indians tourists do not care about their peers at all...) - restaurant is a bit dingy but the food is OK. - toilet flushing badly
+ private parking + out of the city so is quiet during night + kind and helpful receptionist + hot water + good WiFi in the room

Note that the Wi-Fi only functions in select rooms and public areas
This hotel where we stayed for one night during our india trip The room and washroom were clean, and the food was exceptionally delicious. They also offer a spacious parking area, making it an excellent choice for those traveling with their own vehicles. The hotel is conveniently located along the Leh-Srinagar highway and just 1 km from the market.

Even though hotel facilities are basic (and carpets could defiantly need maintenance) I found the stay very pleasant actually, so I can't say I didn't like it... just make sure you you're expectations are met
Excelent location with a large gated parking lot (which is super nice if you're traveling with a vehicle) and very large rooms. the hotel staff was super nice and made us food and hot chai whenever we asked for it. we met a few other travelers there so all and all - pleasant stay

Location was almost outside the town .About 1.5 kms from city centre
Clean and staff was all good .Being small and located in one corner it was bit homely like .food quality was fair and was served on time .

Sheets could be more clean.
The staff was great, went out of his way to help me out since the Pass was closed and I had to postpone my trip. Then he helped me get wifi and provided an extra blanket. Aside from that it's a budget accommodation with great value.
