We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomVery well organised and well run accommodation with a nice attention to detail. Boutique style beach huts - a/c already running and nice and cool when we arrived baking hot. Fabulous location on the palm-fringed edge of Patnem bay. Secluded, quiet spot but easy to walk down the beach tot he cafes/bars. Nice communal eating/lounging area with super-attentive and friendly staff. Excellent food, including the comp breakfast. Some nice touches in the room. Palolem beach is a 10 minute, 150 rupee tuktuk ride away if you want a bigger tourist scene. Walk down Putnem beach beyond the bars and you can have it to yourself if you want! Happy to let us use shower/towels after checkout before we shipped out.

United KingdomMy only disappointment was apart from a small veranda area that came with the room, there was nowhere on the hotel grounds to laze around on a sunbed. However, I do recognise that its geographic location (hugging a headland) did make that difficult!
Loved staying at Casa Jaali. I arrived after a full on 2 week tour of the golden triangle and was exhausted. This was a welcome home from home - crisp cotton bedding, rooms cleaned daily, complementary tea/coffee & filtered water, plenty of shelves and hanging spaces, amazing views literally from your bed. The menu was excellent and included local and international selections. All the food was so tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. I wanted to extend my stay but sadly had to move as they didn't have the availability.

RomaniaAlthough the sea is basically at your doorstep, the beach is rocky, so you can't (or maybe not the best idea) go in the water there. It's not the hotel's fault and they show it in the pictures. The sandy beach is just 3-5minutes away.
We really liked the overall anesthetic of the place. Because of the close proximity of the sea, it was nice to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of waves. It had a laid back vibe which we enjoyed. The restaurant seved tasty food and the staff was very helpful.

IndiaProperty access could have been made better.. Unsecured Car parking which is almost 500m away on open plot without guard. Casa Jaali should have converted open plot for secured parking. TV connection should be provided for young ones, since there is nothing else to engage child and toddlers in hotel property. Bathroom ventilation could have been done better with exhaust fans.

Casa Jaali is nestled behind the palm trees in one of the most beautiful spots I have ever found myself. The rooms are small but perfectly formed, with all the amenities you would ever need. The staff were super attentive & thoughtful, they made an already exceptional spot even more magical. It's the first place I have ever travelled to where I've booked my return trip before I even left. The on site restaurant serves exquisite food, the breakfast included with the room rate was far better than the usual offerings of an included breakfast. My time spent quietly reading sat in the Casa Jaali gardens are some of my favourite holiday memories, ever. This is a must see place.
