Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMy only complaint is the smell of the bat guano. Probably not a problem most of the time but when we were there it was really hot…
The hosts are the sweetest people. The room was comfortable and the location fantastic. Neema is a great cook and her breakfasts were delicious. We were a bit sick while there and they were very accommodating allowing us to eat in our room. Overall very good. It is a unique experience also. Needs is also a very great guide

United StatesRaj and Neema made our stay in Bundi so much more special. They are great hosts. Neema is an authorized tour guide for the palace and she is a wealth of information. Her thali is the best around. We actually split our time between the Elephant stable and another location in Bundi and came back to Raj and Neema’s place for chai and thali while we stayed elsewhere. Their daughter is a great artist and gave me a beautiful henna ratio. The room is basic but adequate. What makes this place a 10 is the hospitality of the family.

IrelandThe pillows could do with an upgrade.
We loved our stay at Haveli Elephant stables. Raj and his family were so welcoming and really made us feel at home. We loved the fact that the accommodation was part of the old palace. It is a unique guesthouse and amazing value for money. The food was absolutely delicious and Neema's special Thali is a must! We also really enjoyed our tour of the palace with Neema and would definitely recommend doing it.

BelgiumWhat we liked most about the property is the lovely family that lives there. They really took care of us with good food, sweet chai, an extra fan, a guided tour of the palace, nice conversations. Our daughters loved playing with the two daughters of Raj and Neema. It’s a quick walk to the market of Bundi. A tuk tuk ride away from some other attractions. We had a really relaxing stay!

Awesome host(s), great location and the idea of staying in former elephant stables is just fun. It's pretty basic, but that's part of the charm (and price).

United KingdomRaj was so kind in helping us plan our days in Bundi as well as giving us lessons on how to make chai. Neema was an amazing cook and made some of the best thalis we’ve eaten (completely different all three nights!). The entire family welcomed us and lots of laughter was had around the fire every evening. We had the best time here and couldn’t stop laughing and smiling for the entire 4 days. We will be back!!

United KingdomStaying at this lovely family guest house was a truly exceptional experience. The converted elephant stable, while basic, added a rustic charm to our stay. What truly made it unforgettable was the welcoming family. We not only enjoyed good food but also formed a genuine connection, making our evenings around the fire truly memorable. Highly recommended for a unique and heartwarming getaway!

United KingdomNothing!
This is a fabulous place to stay!! The best place we’ve stayed in our time in India. Raj and his family are all delightful, so welcoming and kind. They helped sort a guide for the palace and fort and would have helped us with any of our needs. The food was absolutely amazing - you must stay here for dinner too! The accommodation is basic but absolutely fits the description of what they say it is, and for the amazing price it’s what you’d expect! An absolute must stay in Bundi!

Location was great, room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed! The family that runs this place was even more exceptional, with a welcoming and kind spirit. I would also recommend you try the excellent thali (best we’ve had so far in India). Overall, great place and great people - definitely come here if you want your money’s worth in Bundi :)
