Because we booked far in advance, we didn't realise the price was doubled to what it usually goes for and doubled to comparable properties. While it was a nice, simple, clean place to stay and the staff were lovely, we think we paid too much.

We liked the balcony and the open shower (despite the cold water). We liked the eating area and how it brought guests together. It was very quiet and peaceful, you can watch the sunrise from the bed!

Great little tree house room with everything you need. The room is in the owners’ garden and they have made a real effort to create a special place to stay and a great dining area outside too. The views are beautiful and the food provided was very tasty

Fantastic bamboo hut in a beautiful location amongst the jungle. The host and his family were excellent, delicious homecooked meals, and helped us to book tours etc around the Munnar area (the location means that a cab/jeep is needed really to get around). The outdoor shower and bathroom is a fantastic experience also!

Only thing to call out is the hot water only comes from the tap and not the shower so you'll need to use a bucket to shower. Typical for these areas.

Loved the peacefulness of the location and the uniqueness of the construction and careful consideration in putting the space together. The meals (breakfast and dinners) were very delicious. The hosts were very generous, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend for those looking for a less typical and alternative place to stay. We'll definitely come back.

This is a truly exceptional place to stay for a few days in the Munnar area. The bamboo hut was clean, spacious and comfortable with a stunning view over the surrounding forested hills. We spent several hours simply gazing out from the balcony, enjoying a couple of drinks and taking in the view. The outdoor bathroom, as mentioned in other reviews, is a real highlight with the shower located between tall vine covered trees. Home cooked food was available at the accommodation - which was excellent and very reasonably priced. Our host, Anurag, was incredibly helpful in arranging supplies and transport/tours around Munnar. He put us in touch with Alphonsa Travels, who I would highly recommend if interested in doing tours around the area. All in all, a memorable few days - I can't recommend this place highly enough!

We didn't realise it was so far outside of Munnar - so be aware it it's about 15+ km! It's worth arranging tours etc so you aren't isolated

Our stay at the FAB Bamboo Hut was simply fantastic. A unique experience. Surrounded by greenery in the middle of the jungle and then the shower in the open air, it couldn't have been more beautiful in this area. Anurag, the host, and his mother Riji were super friendly and always helpful, attentive and open to any request. The food that Riji conjured up was super tasty every time, nothing that didn't taste good 🙏 If we ever need accommodation near Munnar again, we would definitely go back to the family. Bed sheets could have been better ( a blanket wat provided but no separate sheets to sleep under). As you’re in nature, some bugs here and there are unavoidable. It would be good if a mosquito net was provided (we had our own).

Good looking hut with a beautiful nature view, with the constant sounds of nature around you (birds, water, etc). The owner clearly put a lot of attention into the place, and he was very friendly. The food made by the owner’s mom was great!

The place was quiet and the bamboo hut (placed in the lap of nature), with all the facilities. There was beautiful view of the forest and a small water stream (not active during the season we visited). The open shower was a real experience. The hosts, especially Mr Anurag were always available to make us comfortable and arrange anything we needed. They treated us like their family members with tasty homemade food. All the local travel and beyond was arranged by Mr Anurag. We stayed there 2 nights and it was a lifetime experience and we would like to go there again.

Anu and family were perfect hosts, helpful, welcoming. Delicious breakfast and food for dinner prepared for us. The treehouse is wonderful. Arranged a great day of sightseeing with local tuktuk driver Ajhit who was a superb tour guide.

Amazing accommodation if you like some peace and quiet at a bit more distance from Munnar itself. The outdoor shower is fantastic. Anurag and the family took great care of us, with preparing lovely food and arringing a tour in the surrounding hills. I wish we had more time at the bamboo hut!

Remote location so have to rely on taxi/tuk tuks. Not many restaurants or places to eat/drink nearby however food provided by hosts was some of the best we have eaten!

I wish I had more time to spend there.

It is a steal deal for the price. The property is so serene, awesome and beautifully natural. I bet it would be the best surprise you can give to your partner. Exceptionally good hosts- Mr. Anurag's and his mother's home made food is heavenly.. Anurag was so kind to get a booking for Kalarippayattu and spa for us. Without a second thought, you can go for it. It was beyond my expectations.
