Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My stay at footprint hostel in Udaipur was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

Staff member was nice but not the most proactive.
Good value for money. Great location, very close to the city palace. Clean bathroom, great water pressure. Comfy beds and curtains for privacy. Generous underbed storage lockers. Rooftop has a nice view of the city palace.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service . Great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.I stayed in dormitory and it was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future. Thanks a lot.

The dog! I like animals, but that small ball of a nightmare enters the rooms and starts barking and snatching footwear. The hall is full of its fur. If you are allergic, then you know what (not) to do. And the dog poops, too. Whenever it wants! The bathroom! It is okay to say the least. My request to refill the handwash never was fulfilled. The guests! Using your phones to speak loudly, setting up an alarm that wakes the entire block up in the morning is not something we should normalise. It's your temporary shelter, not your home. Some relevant signs need to be hung on the walls asking the guests to respect people's peace. The breakfast! My booking included free breakfast, but I did not want to bother them with that, considering how much I paid for my stay. And they showed no enthusiasm either. The kitchen needs to be cleaned more often.
Location: it's off the main lane, which comes with lesser noise and fewer crowds roaming around. It is really a laid back, hassle-free hostel. Most importantly, it's rather an affordable option there is, and I hope it remains that way. Early check-in was a lifesaver. It should be practiced by other hostels too. The bed was nice, I found it wider than those in other hostels.

good location, spacious room, clean bed linen, but dirty bathroom. We didn't have breakfast since at 9 am the breakfast area on the roof was unclean from the previous night, and in the reception area there were 3-4 people sleeping on the floor

Be aware that 70% of the announced facilities are not provided at all ( TV, wardrobe, fireplace, sofa, fridge, microwave, laundry machine, safebox etc.. )

The blanket they provided was bad . The washrooms were unclean, they gave a broken wiper. Near the he bathroom there was an area where you can sit ( they have put a sofa there) but you can spot so many undergarments there just kept or hanging somewhere that immediately you will want to leave.
The dorms bed is clean and AC works fine .
