The gym and jacuzzi were closed when we got there but that could have been because it was 7pm. The room wasn't big enough for all of us, we had to get a separate cot which was basically a single mattress which was out on the floor. Surprised that there were no bigger rooms, stayed in another hotel that was smaller but had 2 king sized beds in a single room.

A very modern hotel. We got there at about 7pm and check in was easy. The rooms were large and clean with good bathroom facilities. WiFi was fine and our teenagers were happy to explore. The restaurant had a good menu and the food enjoyable.

There was a wedding function going on and the music was too loud and lasted till 12pm, didn’t make a fuss but it should have been considerate for other guest staying

I have noted a few things that could be improved, nothing major 1. Some staff are helpful but it is with the premise of wanting tips. For example, I am happy to take my own suitcases to the room and was suggesting this but it seems that they insist on doing it so they can receive a tip. 2. On the same topic of tips, I paid twice for laundry service and for some reason the staff who delivered my laundry back to me wanted a tip. Is this common practice in Jalandhar as I've not experienced this in other hotels in India? 3. Depending on when you travel it may be wedding season. My understanding was that loud music should stop at 11pm, however it never did. There was an event every night during our stay and it was on the second floor. Luckily we were on the 4th floor, as we could still hear the huge thumping bass till 12:30am which was not comfortable at all. 4. Everytime I called down to the reception for a request, they didn't quite understand english sometimes and would cut the phone and then I wouldn't receive the thing I've requested. In which case I had to call again or go downstairs.

We liked many things about the Golden Tulip. 1. The staff at breakfast and the food at breakfast in the morning was lovely 2. The rooms were large, modern, comfortable and clean 3. Laundry service was helpful as we were attending a wedding in Jalandhar 4. Reception staff were always helpful in arranging transport for us

The air conditioning had minor issues, 4th floor did not have air con and 3rd floor did not have heating, it would be better if all floors had all air con options or at least ask preference before allocation rooms.

Restaurant charges can be reduced. A room ruppee 3500 will cost u around 6000 if food is included. Way too much

Too much heat in the hotel and I ask them to provide us fan but they didn’t. It was little restless Also Lady manager was so rude and disrespectful lady.

I can't think of anything. This place blew me away.

I loved the room. It was spacious, modern, and tasteful with great views of the city. I particularly liked the clever use of a window between the bathroom and bedroom. I'd say it's the best hotel I've been to in years. Hospitality was exceptional, and the food was great. The front desk was always available and helpful as well as the rest of the staff members. There were lovely little touches, like the complimentary drink and biscuits on arrival and the kind staff member who brought me a cappuccino while I was waiting to be taken to my friend's house. I was in Jalandhar for pre-wedding festivities, so I didn't do any sightseeing or manage to use the hotel facilities, but the location was great and easy to get to and from places.

The restaurant is below average for food quality and very expensive. The included breakfast is poor quality and selection.
