We had a fantastic time at Houseboat Zaindari Palace, the most luxurious houseboat in Srinagar. The views were breathtaking, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Not to mention, the food was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay at Houseboat Zaindari Palace! The location is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly. They organize various activities in Srinagar, which is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends . We made some wonderful friends there and would definitely choose to stay at Houseboat Zaindari Palace again. A special shoutout to Imran, we can't wait to visit again!

We had a great time staying at Houseboat Zaindari Palace. The staff was incredibly helpful and spoke English fluently. The room was cozy and warm. The showers were spotless and had excellent water pressure. They offered a wide range of breakfast options, along with tea or coffee. The restaurant/lounge area was beautifully designed and comfortable.

Houseboat Zaindari Palace is in a very good location quiet part of Dal Lake with a mountain view. The rooms are spacious and the washrooms are super clean. Management is also very helpful. The breakfast and dinner are tasty The staff are friendly, and give honest advice about tour/bus/travel itineraries and costs. I would definitely recommend this place:)

There was a problem with the router the day I visited, but Imran provided a hotspot throughout my stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Zaindari Palace. Imran was very helpful in arranging transport from the airport to the houseboat, which is in a beautiful, isolated, quiet part of Dal Lake, away from traffic and city sounds. Imran prepared delicious home-made Kashmiri meals (veg and non-veg) and was happy to discuss Kashmiri culture and history. I would happily stay again!

Sometimes the power goes off so having powerbank here would be very helpful.

- Payment was a bit inconvenient (going to the ATM and getting the maximum withdraw amount three times in a row), but I understand that credit card fees are too expensive given the relatively few guests that have ventured into Kashmir in recent years. - The shower had warm water, which is nice and requires a lot of effort by the host, but the shower pressure could be increased.

Staying on the Zaindari Houseboat was a unique experience. The houseboat is beautiful and offers a nicely quiet escape from the noisy town. Imran, the owner, is a true original character and does everything he can (almost too much) to make the stay pleasant, and is able to provide valuable information on Kashmir in general, usual prices around the area, and possible places to visit. If I will visit Srinagar again, I will stay there again.

This houseboat is the cream of the crop when it comes to staying on Dal Lake. Run by successive generations, the boat itself is gorgeous. Importantly, the boat is situated in a quiet corner of the lake, surrounded by lotus and a plethora of bird life. The owner Imran Zaindari is extremely friendly and will go out of his way to assist you - including avoiding scammers. This stay was the crown jewel of my 3 months in India.

I got half board and the food was terrible. You had no idea what you were getting no choice and no communication prior. Breakfast was terrible the western breakfast was terrible so the next day I got the local breakfast which I could not eat. The host was not even concerned whether you ate the food or not. I was forced to cancel two days of the booking. I then rang for a taxi but the taxi had to wait an hour as I had to wait an hour to get transport from the houseboat to the mainland which was arranged by the houseboat The photos in booking are not really totally representative of the houseboat. Food photos are totally untrue. The shower looked good in the photos. The shower is a trickle and the curtain and roof are full of mould

The location was good. Houseboat was very quiet. The host tried to assist with planning but unfortunately I felt that he was just trying to make money and not really help you

Would have liked a TV, what with the World Cup underway, but that was a very minor nitpick. Didn’t come to Kashmir to watch TV anyway.

Great location. The house boat was the last one in the row, so you have a beautiful, peaceful view of the Dal lake when you sit on the verandah. It is also spacious, with a dining room and a parlour in addition to the bed room. Meals were tasty and substantial. Very friendly host.
