I have no words to describe my stay. Everything was perfect. The vibes, cleanliness, facilities etc. The food was super delicious and affordable. Special shoutout to the property owner and host Mr Atit. His calm and super helpful demeanor was a cherry on top. Will highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dharamshala.

The hostel is located in a peaceful spot a little away from the main town’s hustle ans bustle and makes the perfect getaway spot for a relaxing stay. The staff in incredibly supportive and warm. The homecookes food at the hostel was always fulfilling ans scrumptous.

Location: 10/10, The view from the rooms, common areas and the terrace overlooks the beautiful hills and a stream. You can take a nice stroll to the river during the day and have dog accompany you :D Staff: Amazing amazing people who made me feel safe and welcomed. Everyone was friendly, and comforting. Food: If you like home cooked meals, you will LOVE hobo hostel! Cleanliness was very well maintained across all areas.

My stay at Hobo Hostel was excellent. The rooms/ bathrooms were clean and hygenic (to Western standards) and, in my opinion, very good value for money. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food served was wholesome, organic, and homemade (also locally sourced and seasonal). There was fresh drinking water available 24/7 in the communal area, which was great and also meant I could fill up my steel flask, which saved plastic pollution. The location was great as it was close enough to travel into Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj for day trips but far enough away to relax and unwind at the end of the day. The local village was also very welcoming, I was a solo traveller walking around at night alone, and not once did I feel unsafe. The scenery was beautiful, and there were various trekking options available from Hobos' own qualified mountain guide. There is also a river running within walking distance of the property, which I used for meditation and cold water immersion in the mornings. Overall, I had a perfect stay and would definitely come back. Id recommended Hobo Hostel to any traveller wanting a peaceful stay in a beautiful village setting.

The staff were extremely nice; the location is amazing - quiet place, next to temple, 5 minutes walk from the river. I wanted to go tracking and got a private trek with one of the staff- a professional guide that took care of everything and provided me an amazing experience.

Peaceful place to think and work on your creative ideas. Plus, you can get some home cooked organic food to fuel you up. You can just walk up to the riverfront and have some quiet time there.

It is at a place which is away from the hustle of daily city life. Pretty calm and soothing. The owner and other members were very polite and helpful all the time. They went ahead and made us extra arrangements than they needed to. It was a memorable stay.

Only the guy of the first night spoke English (we haven't seen him afterwards anymore). The others didn't speak anything and even in Hindi it was hard the communicate. What made it a bit annoying for the Europeans. The bathroom didn't get cleaned during the 4 nights we stayed there. Location is far out and hard/impossible to get a cap. The food was great but it took really long to come. The water in our bathroom didn't work two days in a row and shower was impossible the entire time. I still give it a 7 because the potential of the hostel is great

The room and beds were great. We got our own bathroom, comfy beds and the view was beautiful. The food (especially in the evening) was great. Staff was friendly and the first night the guy who received us was so nice. It's close to the mountains.

Slow wifi compared to hostels in Mcleod. No power backup.

The place is overall fine but the entrance and check in process were very confusing. It is way far from places of interest.
