Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

India1. While booking.com says Astrostays as the name of the guesthouse, signboards in the village say Bukpa Homestay, so do keep that in mind when traveling or you may get lost. It's right at the start of the Mann Village. 2. While the description does mention bathrooms are outside the room, would appreciated a lock and key to be handed to guests so as to avoid any other person using the same washroom. We had 2 bathrooms but unfortunately ended up using just one as we found a tribal folk using one of the washrooms the following morning. 3. While the place is called Astrostays and description said the owner had a telescope for some star gazing, we didn't end up meeting the person who owned the telescope as he was working elsewhere and "might" have come back at 11pm that night, a slight disappointment as we were looking forward to a good night of star gazing.
1. Loved the warmth & hospitality of the guesthouse owner's dad & the housekeeper. We had booked 2 rooms so were lucky to get the lake facing room which was heavenly, we could even see a sky full of stars from our room at night. 2. Very clean and comfortable & I was happy to get airtel coverage at the guesthouse. That's the only network currently working. 3. The simple yet delicious home cooked meal was just what we needed at an elevation of 13,861 feet, with AMS just around the corner.

IndiaDidn’t dislike anything but would like mention that the property is not on the bank of the river incase you want to stay close to the lake. Only 2 room has a view of the lake. So ask for it when you book.
It’s a family run place with warm hospitality. They offer an engaging stargazing session for extra cost that adds to the charm of the place.

GermanyA great stay at Pangong Lake with a very friendly and nice host. The common area / kitchen is really nice and gives you a feeling for the Ladakh way of living. Would 100% recommend to stay here during Pangong Lake visit.

Amazing location and the host is very kind nd helpful. He also prepared some really amazing Ladaki food for us during the stay. Loved it! No WiFi and spotty network, a good way to completely disconnect.

OmanSince we went in the peak winter, the traditional heater wasn’t enough to warm up the room as each time it only lit for 15-20min. Other than that it was all good.
The hosts were welcoming and warm. The home cooked meals were amazing. They made all the efforts to make our stay comfortable in the off season when the temperature was -16 degrees.

IsraelThe bathroom is private but it's not attached to the room. We knew that it will be like that, so it was not a surprise for us.
We've got a great view of the lake from the window. Very nice and friendly family. The room was clean and linens were fresh. Nice dinned and breakfast.

IndiaMisnamed property in Booking makes it difficult to search. Guess the aggregator gave their name to the humble Homestay owners. The real name is Bukpa Homestay. Remember there is almost zero telecom connectivity in that area… The people in Man village doesn’t know MH Mountain Homestay
Dorjay’s and others hospitality that makes the word comfort a leisure. The food and care was phenomenal. Absolutely 5 star treatment.

The hospitality of the family makes us feel so welcomed. The common area is really cozy and homy. The view from the house is really amazing. Such an unique stay in Pangong lake. It’s away from the touristy/compact areas and that what i love most about this place. It’s also special to live with local and witness their day-to-day lifestyle.
