Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A really lovely place in the heart of cochin. The rooms are clean and modern with nice retro design furniture. The backyard offers a nice terrace and is full of plants. The entrance hall is full of beautiful paintings.

First of all, this is place of exceptionally beautiful art, I could spent a lot of time enjoying the art works. Second, the hosts, which are also the artists, are the kindest and most helpful people. They give plenty of time for chatting, and if youre an artists yourself, you can possible join them to do some painting yourself. There might even bea chance for lessons. There are lots of nice restaurants and cafés nearby. The rooms was really cosy and clean, I loved hanging out there to relax. And the small gardens is beautiful! Thank you for the best stay <3

My stay at this property was an absolute delight. It wasn't just a stay, it was an immersive experience in the world of art. Being surrounded by such beauty truly rekindled my artistic spirit. The rooms themselves are nestled within the gallery, making it feel like you're living in a piece of art itself. What truly made the experience special were the owners Sidharthan & Sandhyambika, who are also artists themselves. They weren't just hosts, they were warm and engaging, and our conversations sparked a long-dormant passion within me. After five years, I found myself picking up a canvas to sketch again, and that in itself made the stay entirely worthwhile. The location was simply perfect – everything from cafes to sightseeing spots was just a short stroll away. And to top it all off, Sandeep, a member of the staff, was courteous and always ready to help. This place is more than just a place to stay; it's a haven for art lovers and anyone seeking a touch of tranquility. I left feeling inspired and reconnected with a long-lost part of myself.

A bonus is to offer small breakfast.
Staff, especially the artists were very helpful, very informative, very friendly and open-minded. Clean and astethically nice layed out place. Room was a bit small. I liked that the rooms face a small green, garden-like area. Great location in the center of Fort Cochin. Very good restaurants are close-by.

Staying at Idha artist gallery the past 3 days has been such a relaxed experience. Loved the service and hospitality! The artists were very welcoming, cooperative, and super helpful! The caretakers are very quick to attend to our needs and requirements. The best part about the stay is the location! Admist the centre of the main fort kochi magic. The Garden View room was just perfect! Neat and tidy with air conditioning along with a fan, help beat the heat within seconds after entering the room. Having an interactive session with the artist is so refreshing. Getting to know about their artwork and experience was wonderful! ♡ Would like to thank Sandhyambika and Sidharthan for their time and patience! Wishing idha artist gallery team all the success in the coming years! 👍🏻 See you next time around! 😄

The room is a bit small. We knew about this already from the reviews, but still felt it was a bit crunched. Its not something that can be changed, but still its worth pointing out so that others know what they are booking :) Do note - even if its a small room, they've done their best to make it comfortable. It is commendable!
The space is beautiful. It feels like we've transported to a different era. The location is even better. It's literally located at the heart of the main attractions of Fort Kochi. Its extremely convenient at night as all the eateries you would want to go to are a short walk away. Ali, the caretaker, is a charming young lad who livens up the entire space and will help you in any way he can.

Nothing that I didn’t like
Beautiful house, with a gallery on the ground floor and rooms on ground and first floor. Very artistically and tastefully decorated. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with nice wooden furniture and all amenities needed. The owner (and artist) is a wonderful person who loves to share about his art and work and is helpful. I would love to come back for a longer stay in the future

Small bed
Property in great location, next to loads of cafes and nice shops. The best area of Fort Kochi from what we saw. Bed is a small double so if you’re above 6 foot you might struggle! Rest of the room was lovely and a really cool property.

The room was extremely small, much smaller than it looks in the pictures. There's no space to stand or keep your luggage.
Excellent location, walking distance from all tourist spots. Room was very clean and well-maintained. The hosts and caretaker were so sweet!

There is a curfew kind of timing. We were told to come back to the property before 11 PM. I don't think how feasible that is since people travel around to enjoy the night life too. I found that really disappointing and unfair arrangement.
The interior was beautiful. The staff was friendly.
