The family are amazing hosts, the location is right in the middle of loads of facilities and ashrams for classes. Good local choice of amenities. The price is good, accommodated to enable remote working. A whisky partner lol, taken along to local weddings to enjoy festivities with the family x

There is excessive construction happening all over Tapovan, which is extremely noisy, but not their fault or under their control.

The host family are lovely, kind, welcoming and kept us safe. They still provide electricity even when there are power cuts cause they have a generator. The internet is stable and always available, which is unusual in this area, also good 5G reception in this area. Always available to ask them for help or advice. There is a shared fridge and balcony which is useful.

No view from balcony, overlooked by another hotel, which can’t be helped. But balcony is spacious and has a table and chairs.

Good stable internet, very accommodating for work needs. Super friendly made us feel part of the family. Having a small stove in the room is very handy for making hot drinks. Felt totally safe and secure ready to offer information, advice and help. Easy to get hold of at any time of the day or evening. Having a balcony area is nice too, along with a fridge to store milk and to keep water cold. Good location for cafes, shops and groceries. Lots of options of places to eat and the occasional traditional wedding. Taxis and tuk tuks go right to the door of the homestay.

How brief my stay was

Jashoda is a slice of heaven - a friendly, peaceful, very clean and spacious homestay with delicious homecooked meals (and original 5 grain chapatis) and a perennial homely atmosphere that permeates amongst the hustle.and bustle of fast developing Tapovan. It is 5mins walk from the main road and surrounded by juice and coffee bars, local and foreign eateries and yoga ashrams in every direction only a couple minutes walk away. In-house laundry and gas stove in the rooms, with fan and A/C. I will return when/if I am so lucky. Anita, Manoj, Riya and Deepak (and family).. dhanyavaad 🙏🙏

Jashoda Home Stay is a very nice and cozy place. The room is quite spacious with some kitchenette and comfy bed. Everything was clean. The location is close to many amenities and hiking trails. I would highly recommend it!

The family is super nice and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. We particularly liked the kitchenette, where we could finally cook for ourselves and eat our food on the small terrace in front of the room, which was very nice. There is filtered water and a good and fast laundry service.

Comfy beds and hot showers! Gas stove and good wifi! Great location off the main road, easy to get around. I'd give 7,5 points for the room and 10+ for the great family running the home stay! Thank you Anita & all the family for making me feel At Home! <3

The place is great. The owners are nice people. They also have laundry which is very convenient. The small kitchen in the room, the balcony and good wifi make your stay here really comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a great stay - felt just like home: the very nice family running the home stay were always super helpful, the location is great for cafes (there are several catering both Indian and Western foodstuff within a short stroll). The external space was particularly nice to have, just to sit read a book in the evening, or have a tea in the morning, with a partial mountain view. Good WIFI connection

Wow, I have been staying in indian hotels in various cities (all same price region) and this was the first one to actually think, how can we make our place better for its customers. The kitchen in the room was a fantastic idea, the small table outside was perfect for working. Everything was clean and they were very keen to help in any way they could, but were happy to leave you if you wished. a lovely stay. They could charge much more but they don't.

Only inconvenient was some construction works on the other side of the road that made it noisy and dusty during the day (September 2023), but definitely not their fault

No phone in the room TV not there AC 24*7 not available

Hotel is good. Staff also good but you have to remind them for basic things like drinking water. No phone in the room, you have to contact directly. Mountain view is very limited as tall buildings have been made in front of the balcony. A gas stove is there for cooking. Electricity problem was there, AC does not work on alternate arrangements, Fan and light were working 24×7 on inverter. The secret waterfall is 3-4km from this location. Overall good stay.
