Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The first night was awful because they gave me a bed in a dormitory with some students, and it was a bit hard to be with them, trying to sleep. They were up late to study. The bathroom of that room wasn't nice. The second night, they let me go in another room, and it was way better a lot of space and a nice bathroom with a shower. The mattress is very hard. There is a small mouse walking around the reception.
The stuff is a family, and they are super nice and available. They cook so well, but not for everyone just for the students. they don't speak English. Communication was very hard. The location is good at walking distance from the main attraction and 30 min from the gateway of India. Ower all the apparent is nice and clean compared to other dorms.

There are 2 shower rooms but one is accessible only through one of the dormitory room, I recommend this shower because the one next to reception is very rustic. You get locked into your dormitory at night, which is great for security, but not so great if you need to leave very early for your train etc. Make sure to communicate beforehand if you need the dorm unlocking in the early morning.
Excellent location, near the ultra touristy area and not far from the main train station CSMT. Friendly host.

Difficult to find because there is no any information outside the hostel. I had to pay 200 INR to lock my bag - in a shared room. It should be a standard to have a closed cabinet in shared rooms. And it is, but not here. There was a big rat in our room. It was funny for the people there that I do not want to sleep with a rat in my room.
The area is perfect. Bathroom is clean and the water is hot. Rooms are cleaned.

The water was functioning only intermittently, I believe due to construction on the building? It was only an issue in the middle of the day, not in the evening. Just kind of odd.
The host was very enthusiastic, kind, and helpful The location was amazing, very close to everything I wanted to see It is a nice family-run place :)

Owner is scammer, he will ask for more money once you go there in name of gst. He will say he will switch on AC at 9pm to 8am but he will switch of AC at 11pm and then nobody listen to you, you die in hot humid climate.

The only problem was I arrived at 3 am and it was very difficult to find and get in to check-in. I had to wake someone to open the gate for the building, but then he helped me to find the hostel.
This is a nice value hostel with a good location in Mumbai right next to Marine Drive. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. It also felt safe and welcoming to a single female traveler.

For a hostel the level of comfort was expected but unfortunately there seems to be a trend of people spending too many days there, eventually “moving in” and changing the norms of a normal hostel. Lights are on and people are active/talking until midnight.
It is located in a relatively good location close to things we wanted to see and do.

I had booked for 2 adults and app also shown total amount for 2 adults. But when I am reached out at hotel he denied that it was the amount for 1 adult only and you had to pay for 2 adults to stay (double the amount of which app had already shown). It was late night time, so that i had no other option, just because of that its my compulsion to stay at that place. It's nothing but just taking advantage of my time🙁🙁
