We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

PortugalWhen we arrived at 23h30, they said they didn't have our reservation and no rooms were available. They also said that they didn't have a form for foreigners to fill, which was mandatory. This is unusual in India, although in Jaipur and when you arrive from the train station, the tuk tuk drivers always know a better hotel, but never a situation like this. After some yelling and threats, they said they had another hotel and we could stay there: The Maurvi Inn. They took us there by motorbike and we stayed there.

IndiaWas part of a scam where i was forcefully asked to stay at guest house beside the hotel saying we don't have rooms in hotel lakhdatar. They didn't even let me leave saying they will arrange a room next day and asked for full payment. The next day they misbehaved and insulted me when I asked for a room. I stayed at an entirely different property and not in Hotel Lakhdatar.
