The support around pool are rude and racist ! Pool isn't clean and full of chlorine. Humiliating elderly people. Not at all cooperative. Blankets given were dirty in room. Restaurant menu is not diverse enough.

We had a pleasant enough stay at this hotel however it is good to know that while the pictures of this hotel make it look lovely, in reality it is fairly scruffy. I wouldn’t have trusted the water in the pool, many pool tiles are missing, and the tiles around the pool are uneven and very easy to trip on. Piles of empty plastic water bottles and laundry are left at the bottom of the stairwells.

We stayed at Hotel Mahabs, Mamallapuram, for three nights in early March. The location of this hotel is very good--- an easy walk to the Shore Temple, the beautiful rock carvings, as well as restaurants and shops. The staff are warm and welcoming, and our room was large and pretty comfortable. The interent wasn't great in the room, and it had a wet bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style, and they will cook eggs, dosas, and so on.

Overall, the property is quite charming, with a prime location near the beach and within walking distance of the Shore Temple and other archaeological sites. The rooms are of a decent size, and most aspects of the stay were satisfactory. However, the air conditioning unit was not well-maintained, and some of the pool tiles were either loose or missing on one side, which was a minor drawback. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this place. It offers great value for money.

I opted to pay a little extra for breakfast, as it was not included in my stay. The meal featured a made-to-order selection, including dosa and omelets, along with a buffet offering a variety of breads, tea, coffee, butter, fruits, and more. The quality was excellent, and everything was delicious.

We stayed as a group of three friends . The stay was very good this hotel has very good amenities and very close to bus stop, beach , has very good restaurants nearby and all . The only thing was we expected breakfast to be included in the stay but the hotel were charging extra money for breakfast since they told if we book in booking.com breakfast isn't included. Also the room we were given was good and spacious but it was on top and stairs leading upto it felt very unsafe . Swimming pool was also well maintained and kept clean and staff was very friendly .

Bathroom could do with a bit of makeover but it was better than many in this price bracket. Couldn't get wifi to work at all, but maybe that was me.

Not the quietest location but the breakfast (Rs350) was good and the poolside a good place to escape the traffic and noise of Mamallapuram.

Professional and helpful staff who made sure we had a pleasant stay. We liked the location, ambience, and greenery of the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and charming. It's a great value and we would stay here again.

Bathroom was a little dated with the water from the shower going everywhere!

Though a little tired, this is a haven to stay in, away from the hectic Mahabs. Pool and garden area are lovely though tiles missing here and there. Good location for the sites.

Noisy with arrival of busses and drivers early in the morning - assume only some rooms affected. Some broken and uneven tiles around the pool.

Comfortable and large beds. Clean. Staff helpful and polite - including arranging for postage of an item we left behind which was much appreciated and organising us a taxi from Chennai airport. Very close walk to local sights (rock formations, rock temples etc) and beach. Buffet breakfast was good in quality and range. Pool - big, refreshing temperature!

The hotel is old and would need renovation but it was confortable enough.

Great location, you can walk to all the main sights. Staff were really nice especially at the restaurant. Taxi transfers from Chennai airport and to Pondicherry can be organised by the hotel. Relatively good value and reliable. The hotel owner was very responsive to all my enquiries.

Great central location near beach and other sites - all walkable Staff were very helpful with organising onward travel etc I did not use this facility but liked that there was a restaurant on site for evening meals. Breakfast when I had it was very tasty. Good value Overall a great stay, I would visit again.
