The common area was really lovely. And the staff was very accommodating. We went there for Diwali and the staff made sure we'd have an unforgettable experience at the hostel. The manager of the place really went out of his way to make us feel welcome, almost like family. Probably the best stay we've ever had at a hostel!

If you are a female DO NOT arrange a massage with the front desk. 1) They put a mattress on the floor in your dorm room. You are laying there naked and have zero privacy with people coming in and out. 2) You get an old lady who is very large. It is almost impossible for her to get up and down and move around. She almost fell on top of me twice. 3) She talks on her phone the entire time so you get a one handed massage. She obliviously has no former training in giving a massage. 4) Worst of all she burped curry all over me the whole time. It was disgusting. 5) I paid for 1 1/2 hours. After I complained to her several times about her being on her phone, she got mad and would not continue. I got about 45 minutes of a one handed massage filled with curry burps. 6) My worst experience in India, so far. The office gave me my money back for the extra 1/2 but would not give me anymore back for the time I was shorted from the hour. They said, "she's old and fat, what do you expect". Also, there are lots of outlets to charge your phone. Finding one that works will be the challenge.

Great location, very helpful staff. Off the main street so it's quiet. Loved the filtered water. The Terracotta Cafe has been my favorite place to eat in all of India. Appreciated the light and curtain for the bad.

There aren't loads of bathrooms for the amount of people so sometimes have to wait. As bathrooms are wet rooms they can get dirty from people walking dirty feet through the wet.

Yash and the rest of the staff were excellent. Super friendly, helped with itineraries and ran some fantastic tours. We did a sunset cruise and a sunrise one both that also came with a walking tour and street food but both completely different and excellent. Vibe of the hostel was fantastic, everyone chilled and chatted on the roof, had some drinks and played games. The beds were fine, people in dorms could sometimes be loud. Place is great value for money. There's a restaurant on the roof if you want food but you aren't expected to have anything. It's in a quiet area of town but there's some nice restaurants around as well as assi Ghat that has both morning and evening ceremonies at it.

Bunk bed was too high so I had hard time to climb up. Aside from it everything was perfect :)

All areas were well maintained especially common area. Room was so clean and AC was super strong! Staff was so helpful when I had a problem with calling taxi in personal emergency situation. I really appreciate it! I will come back here whenever I visit Varanasi again :)

The location is amazing. With assi ghat so close by and one of the few hostels that have direct road connectivity, it’s certainly a good option. The vibe of the hostel is on point too. Loved it

Washrooms can use deep clean, then it is a 10 out of 10! Now 7/10. Have seen worse in other places tho.

Plenty of commen area. Places for fun and silence. Place is clean, plenty of washrooms, washrooms are cleanish. A little Bit out of town, but that gives some peace. Recommended to stay!

Not always the most quiet, but that pretty much comes down to the guests and not the hostel.

Lovely place. The staff were always really amazing. Friendly and get to know you and very helpful. The vibe is really good, with a great atmosphere on the rooftop terrace. I absolutely loved my bed too, so spacious and the personal fan is a wonderful touch.

Outside my room was a common area, so the sound proof is not ok. And there was a loud music playing during the day time..

The staff was very helpful, even from whatsapp to guide me and accommodate my midnight check-in request. They even give recommendation on what to see around, and advise us on the usual scam tactic around the Cremation Ghats. Thumbs up!

Great place in varanasi, very well located, near the ganges and ceremonies. The staff is helpful and kind. The beds are well equipped, light, fan, charging socket. The wifi works very well. There is a rooftop terrace and a restaurant for dining. I recommend this place.

What separates moustache from rest of the dorms in varanasi is it’s common sitting area which is open terrace and ambience is quiet cozy to relax

Clean dorm rooms with AC and personal fan on each bed. Curtains for privacy as well is a nice extra. The roof top terrace was great with the food being cooked morning to night - Loved the Aloo Paratha! Friendly staff all round and great location close to the Assi Ghat less than a 10 min walk - great for exploring as soon as you arrive! :)

Hostel is exactly as shown in the photos. It’s relatively clean and while basic, you’re getting what you paid for.

hostel is in a great position. Short tuk tuk from the main ghats and just a 10-15 minute walk to the Ganga. The hostel gave us some great tips on where to eat, activities etc and nothing was too hard for them.
