The food offered by the hosts is a bit pricey but homemade and served in front of your door :)

The room is in paradise, surrounded by nature ❤️ after or before the boat tour (we did both sunset and sunrise, both amazing) you can just relax on the porch or around the table outside. We met Vishnu's brother and wife, who were very friendly. His brother did the boat tours and answered all our questions with patience. Also the only place on our trip which had a rubber mop in the bathroom so that the floor was drying right away after showering. Big plus for me :)

This is a little gem nestled in nature. The room was comfortable and clean. The wibes are very chilled and relaxed, even though the owners go out of their ways to assist your needs. The young family who runs this homestay is lovely, served some really tasty food, and offered walkabouts in the neighbouring artisan workshops, and a fabulous sunrise boat tour, too romantic to be on my own! 😂

Super beautiful location, really peaceful and tranquil but you have everything you need close by! Vishnu was extremely friendly and hospitable, taking us to the local festival and on the sunrise boat trip. The food was amazing and was definitely the rest I needed

Chill place, very quiet in middle of nature. The room is clean and the food is really really good, all the time fresh and well cooked ! The family is very nice. They do everything to make you feel confortable and they welcome you with big smile all the time.

Vishnu is a great host - very funny and kind. He gave us lots of fruit from his garden to try. Hiw sunrise and sunset boat tours are brilliant - we did both. His wife makes great food that keeps coming! It's in such a beautiful place.

The hosts were amazing. I had one of the bests food at the Homestay. I would recommend people to have at least one meal at the Homestay.

This is the most beautiful place to stay in an unspoiled part of the backwaters. We really enjoyed just sitting on the terrace and looking out at the pretty garden and the colourful wild birds that visited. The early morning boat trip with Vishnu was serenely lovely - quite unmissable ! Pooni and Vishnu took great care of us and we enjoyed their company !

We really enjoyed staying in Munroe Nest Homestay. The home is surrounded by a lot of greenery and on the first evening, when we arrived and it was raining we just sat on the porch and looked outside, because it felt so magical. Vishnu and his wife and family are very welcoming and the food they prepared was amazing. They also organized a canoe tour on the canals for us which was a lot of fun and very calming experience. Our room with the porch in and bathroom were all very nice and clean. We would definetely stay here again if we had the chance!

Nature. Rivers, lake, trees, sounds of birds and frogs.

Rural atmosphere and the way of life based on resources available like fishing, coir industry and so on. Has not reached the stage of commercial exploitation like in cities. I like their water transportation.

We had a very good time at Vishnu’s home stay. The food prepared and served was amazing. On top of it Vishnu took us for canoeing for a price and it was brilliant. He knows many ways inside the island and that made him show various places during canoeing. Thank you very much for all the hospitality and food and we definitely come back again.

A bin in the bathroom would be nice

Beautiful small place in a quiet part of the island. Vishnu and his family are great hosts. He recommended a restaurant and sent us to a temple festival. We can recommend doing the boat tour to see the sunrise. He also helped us with the next part of our trip. Breakfast was really tasty (especially the rice noodles). We also had dinner twice, which was simple and again really good.

Vishnu charges a little more than other people for canoe tours advertised around the island, also the same for the food. It’s simple delicious home cooked meals but 250 per dinner per person. We found a thali on the island in a restaurant for 110 for example.

A super peaceful spot, nestled in the Jungle. Only 15mins walk from the station. Very clean and tidy. His family cook delicious meals too. The room is by a tiny canal where men in canoes float past selling fish. If you head south there is a place to rent bicycles which we used to tour the island. Don’t miss the Mocktail shop, Or the little Chai huts. Vishnu took us on a nice boat ride too.

The room was clean and the bed was big and comfortable. Vishnu was an excellent host, who made sure we were comfortable and offered us some great information about a munroe Island on the sunrise boat trip he offered. He was happy to let us check out late.

A lovely homestay in the best sense of the word! Vishnu's family are wonderful. It's in a great spot right by a canal. My favourite was the free use of Vishnu's bike to explore Munroe Island.
