Part of the cafe and the workspace is painted pitch black. It resembles a dark cave and is neither aesthetically pleasing nor conducive to focusing on work. A couple of paintings in the private room could make it more cheerful. I just wish the staff were happier!

Bad or non existing internet connection in some of the dormitories. Shame you get instant coffee in the morning for breakfast, since the old quarter hostel is paired with excellent coffee cafe...

The dorm beds where pretty hard and the organisation of who was sleeping where was bad. My girlfriend got woken up at midnight due to a confusion about who was sleeping in which bed! And the night staff member was equally confused and unsure what to do, but he had a list with names and bed numbers!

No toilet paper in the bathroom:-( We couldnt lock our dorm, which is a bit odd for a girl's dorm.

Nice, state of the art hostels in Panajis old town. Great coffee for breakfast (Bombay coffee roasters) and an appealing community area on the upper floor. Good wifi service. Location is walkable from the major bus stand and to Panajis city centre etc.

Staff member who works by night isn’t very friendly (or doesn’t speak English well and comes across as rude?). Female dorm could use some TLC, add a curtain, place a trash bin, put a lock on the door. At the moment I find Value for Money not matching. But the location is amazing, beautiful building. Just add the hostel spirit!

Try to get the booking in the dorms on 1st floor. Lower level dorms have common washroom shared with the cafe.

In the lower dorm they disconnect the power overnight. This is extremely annoying especially if you were charging anything. You have to take down a picture and open the fuse box to switch it back on. Also reception can’t cope with basic enquires - I wanted to extend my stay two days and they told me I had to phone someone else? Weird.

Great location, really nice property, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Also clean!

Wifi was down, they won't even serve breakfast if you are late by 5-10 minutes!!

Internet didn't work for two days straight, the management was not helpful about it, and i was asked to leave right after my checkout time. I needed 30 mins but the management was too rude about it.

The location was great and I loved the amount of sunlight in the female dorm..the cafe was very well maintained.

We booked a room of 6 dorms and wanted a lock while leaving the room but the keys weren’t available. Also there was no mirror in the washroom or the room. The staff said earlier guests broke the older one. Though the staff was very helpful but this is the only thing we missed.

I really liked the vibe of the entire place, the other guests were also very friendly I just loved the place and the cafe was great too.

Too basic..the beds are the most basic bunk beds that you are given in school hostels..very tiny dorm room..barely space for luggage

There's only two washrooms for all the three dorms as well as the cafeteria on the ground floor. Although the structure wouldn't permit otherwise but that seemed little bit of an issue, but can totally be overlooked given the other positives.

It's centrally located in the Fontainhas and the staff too is very nice, friendly and helpful. They have complementary breakfast and two options for the breakfast but when I told the staff that I'm a vegan and can't have either of the two options they offered, they were really nice and kind enough to arrange for samosa/other snacks from the nearby tea shop. The staff was also nice and kind enough to offer a sanitary napkin to me in case of emergency. The checkin and checkout has always been hassle free here.
