Loved the place with paddy fields around, mango trees, cotton & coconut trees. The caretaker, is very nice and takes care of everything nicely.

The lights outside at night are quite bright and the pillows are too big to sleep on. Had to use the cushion.

The place is a paradise if you love to stay away from a busy worklife. It was a heaven in the middle of paddy fields. I would highly recommend this place who likes to enjoy the calmness! Also not to miss out the boat trip you can take on the early mornings. Sajith the caretaker is very helpful!

It was a bit of a shocker to know that the property currently does not accept Credit Card payment and all payments, including the room booking had to be cleared using Google Pay at the end. I wish that is something that had been informed in prior so that we could have been better prepared. Also, requesting the property owner to enable a card payment facility at the earliest so that future travellers won't face this inconvenience. It would help if an electric bat / insect repellant incense or spray is provided in the rooms as there are a lot of tiny insects that enter the room at night when we open the door.

Paadam by the Backwaters is a beautiful property nestled in a wonderful setting that provides a quintessential glimpse into the life of the Kuttanad region. While the property on the whole presents a traditional vibe, the facilities on offer feel very current and state of the art. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished and comfortable. The landscape is impeccably maintained and the outdoor space is as good as the interiors. Sajith, the staff who looks after the property was friendly and ever ready to help. The location is easy to find for Swiggy and Zomato personnel, so arranging food is not a hassle. Special thanks also to Rejin, who was the boat driver for the boat tour of the Vembanad backwaters and lake, which was arranged for us by Sajith. He was a well-versed local guide, and our conversations with him taught us a lot about the local flora, fauna and ways of life. On the whole, Paadam by the Backwaters is a wonderful getaway spot to visit with family, friends, or for some quality time by oneself.

Nothing really!

This was truly a good value for money, the cleanliness of the room, the view, the comfortable bed and the facilities were everything we could ask for! Sajidh was also very helpful and always smiling. It was very humid but I loved that they had a fan in the balcony which made it easier to sit outside and enjoy the view. There is a temple nearby and you have the rice paddies in the front and backwaters at the back as well as bicycles to explore around.

Honestly, nothing- it was great.

This stay is located about 2.5-3 hours from the airport and set in a village. It was my first time in Kerala. The property is exactly as shown in the pictures. It's brilliant because you get a blend of modern city amenities and the slow pace of village life. As a solo female traveler, I felt incredibly safe throughout my 3-day stay. The water jetty is just a 2-3 minute walk away, and I took a boat to Alleppey. This turned out to be one of the best ways to experience the local culture and their water transport system with stunning backwaters. The kayals are smaller and gradually merge into big ones as you get close to Alleppey. Basics like hot water and electricity are well maintained. However, as the house is in the middle of nature, expect the occasional insects (not many, but just incase). There are provisions like mosquito nets, but it may not be ideal for those who are easily squeamish. In terms of food, they have a basic food menu with local items and reasonably priced. Ajeetha, their cook, was amazing and made a few off the menu items (I'm vegetarian). What stood out was the excellent management. I booked a month in advance and checked with the property manager, Mr. Anand about safety concerns. He assured me and directed Sajith, the on-site manager, to look after my stay. Sajith went above and beyond- he was polite, friendly, attentive, and always available. They also arranged for a boat ride on request and the backwaters around were stunning. I was lucky to get the end of the water lily season. Mr. Anand and Sajith did regular check-ins with me, even after I left to see if I reached Fort Kochi safely. All in all, if you're looking for a non-touristy trip to explore the backwaters, would highly recommend Paadam.

Beautiful location with excellent paddy field views. Modern room with ac, wifi, big tv, bluetooth speakers and a very comfy bed. Public boat jetty is at walking distance and its very cheap. We had our all meals there and its very tasty kerala dishes. A highly recommended place at the backwaters.

Booked this property at the last minute and what to say it turned out to a memorable experience, what an amazing location. Its a new property near Kumarakom with beautifully furnished rooms and landscapes. Tasty locally made breakfast served in the garden and the views are breathless. Sajith is so friendly. He arranged a small boat trip and boat can reach at the door step. Cycles are available to roam around. Fishing also available but we didnt tried. Will come back

We had a great time at Paadam by the backwaters. Sajith was an amazing host. We did the morning tour in the beautiful backwaters and had a nice indian breakfast afterwards. If you want to have a calm break in the nature from all the hustle in the city, the place is perfect for a relaxing time.
