Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaAn exceptional resort with perhaps one of the most stunning views. The resort offers comfortable rooms, excellent food and a very courteous staff. The brilliance of this place lies in the numerous quiet corners you can find near the forest or the stream to sit and chat or read a book or simply gaze at the magnificent Himalayas. From being woken up by sound of birds to reading a book by the riverside and then being served amazing food, this stay was far beyond excellent.

IndiaThe food prices were exorbitant! The rooms were underwhelming and the towels were not Upto the mark. Lots of improvements can be made in ambience. Nothing much to do in the property.
Location was good. There was a river flowing next to the property. 15 mins away from the airport was a plus.

IndiaThe food is amazing, though there are limited options for healthy choices.
The resort is truly magnificent, nestled amidst snowcapped mountains with a river flowing alongside and surrounded by forest trees. The constant sound of the flowing river and the chirping of birds is pure bliss. Mornings are particularly stunning. This is a must-visit destination, and a stay of at least three days is essential to fully appreciate its beauty.

IndiaIt’s a beautiful, clean and spacious property in the lap of Manuni River and Dhauladhar Range. We spent 6 days and enjoyed every bit of this property. We were most impressed to see how earth friendly the property was. From stones, to wood to soil to solar every bit used in making this property is sustainable and Eco friendly. Rooms are clean, spacious, well lit with a perfect view to the Flowing river and Snow capped mountain. Entire staff including the managers, housekeeping, chef and the driver are so warm and welcoming. They are always attending to your call and make every effort to make your stay most comfortable. You can just relax in your balcony or read in the terrace or take a dip in the river or go for a small trek on the hilltop connected from within the property. Food is extremely good and always fresh and hygienic just like home cooked food and our favourite was Himachali Kadhi pakoda. I strongly recommend Prakriti Aalay for a beautiful and mesmerising experience close to nature and away from bustling city. Perfect Gateway for rejuvenation and relaxation. Good Job team Prakriti Aalay Best Wishes and Good Luck !

AustraliaThe location was fantastic with spectacular views of the Himalayan foothills. The eco lodge was beautiful and very peaceful. The staff were very helpful and readily available. The Resort was an easy drive to the centre of Dharmashala and tourist sites. The food was excellent and made fresh. There was a large variety of types of cuisine depending on your taste. I would highly recommend this eco resort.

IndiaThis hotel is a hidden gem. It has the old world charm of typical hill station hotels while providing all modern facilities. I stayed here because all five stars were booked. Next time I will not even check if these other hotels are available!

IndiaThe LED lights (strip lights) on the restaurant are a bit too bright at night and the lamps around the property are bright white coloured which negatively affects the ambiance at night, would advise to change those to warm white. Apart from that, the stay was very good and comfortable.
Overall the service was good and the amenities are also very fun

IndiaThe resort is situated on the river bank in a very nice place. You can hear the sounds of the river all the time. The place is remote and quiet, but close to the airport and Dharamsala. Easy to get there from New Delhi. The food at the restaurant was very good quality, really delicious.

United StatesThis was my second visit to Prakiti Allay. It's a true slice of heaven in India. I enjoy walking through the surrounding forest, dipping into the rushing river and exploring the village fields. All are accessible right from the property. The front desk is always ready to assist with booking taxis, bringing water and good food. A fabulous eco retreat!

IndiaFood could have been better, dinner and breakfast buffer were not disappointing but did not meet the expectations we had.
Excellent location and a great hideaway for city dwellers. The place is aesthetically done so that it looks like an eco-village rather than a hotel which is its USP. It is close enough yet not too close to Dharamshala which is helpful to those who are looking to relax. There is an option to sit by the river or walk in the woods which is added benefit.
