Excellent location, spotlessly clean and fantastic staff. I’m not a hotel fan, preferring an apartment or homestay, but we booked this last minute after discovering our original property was over an hour walk from the cliffs. Didn’t regret it at all, mainly because the staff were so lovely - they all gave a smile and a greeting. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness, the air conditioning was good and the bed really comfortable.

My partner was ill for a couple of days , but the hotel staff made us comfortable. Attentive restaurant staff. And they moved us, at my request, to a room with a better internet signal, for my use.

Exceptionally comfortable beds, cool aircon, tasty breakfast and great swimming pool. Our room had 2 separate balconies which was a bonus. Rooms very clean and staff friendly and polite. Hotel seemed very quiet and we usually had the pool to ourselves. Location was great, far enough away from the cliff not to be noisy but only 3 or 4 mins walk to it and all the restaurants.

The water in the pool was clean but the bottom looked quite green so it probably needs a clean soon. Communication with the staff was a bit hard at times as they didn't seem to have any recommendations when asked e.g. surf schools and restaurants. I wouldn't recommend the dinner as it took 1.5hrs for it to arrive despite us only ordering pasta and fried rice

Overall a great stay. Very clean hotel and an excellent location. It was nice to have a pool for the hot afternoons. Would recommend.

Excellent location near the beach which is walking distance. The specification of facilities is high for example the bedding and bathroom are great. The staff are super professional and helpful. Pool is also a great additional facility.

We bought half board but wasn’t really necessary in Varkala as many restaurants. Food at hotel excellent.

The only minus was the shower in one of the rooms, which had low pressure and the temperature was hard to control. They were still always prompt to resolve any issues. We had two rooms; the other room had no problems.

Customer service is superb. All staff are amazing, nice, and incredibly helpful. I traveled with an elder and they were really special with her, attending beyond normal all her needs. They were also incredibly nice with my 5 year old. Not a new hotel, but very well maintained. Very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was great.

The bathroom could have a shelf to put toiletries and the whole bathroom gets soaked when you have a shower. But that’s a bit nit picky. I loved it there.

The staff are wonderful. Breakfast is plentiful, varied and delicious. My room was lovely and I really appreciated the robe.

Out of the 4 rooms we booked one had slightly musty smell. After 1 hour of running the Air conditioning that smell cleared on its own. No view of the beach from the hotel.

Excellent service by staff. Very pleasant and friendly. Our requests were fulfilled within no time . It is just 1 min away from the beach.

Had a great stay, the round rungs on the pool ladder here 'unusual' but I just used the other steps instead!

We had a fabulous time here, location was very handy for Varkala Beach but just off the main drag to avoid the noise and hubbub. Staff were extremely friends, pool was great, it was an oasis for Varkala, 10 minutes’ walk to the beach or north cliff for all the restaurants etc. If you went the other direction, it was a nice circular walk past the Temple (well worth a visit). And back onto the main beach. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and the chef did the best omelettes and eggs we had anywhere in Kerala. We’re in our 50’s, like independent travel and would recommend here as a great place to stay in Varkala.

Room cleaning was a little haphazard, often received a knock at 4pm to see if we needed the room done.

The drain in the bathtub/shower drain very slow.

The room is very nice with the private balcony. The pool is very clean and nice. The kitchen staff are very nice people and the buffet breakfast is amazingly good.

Absolutely NOTHING!

Our stay at Sajjoys was the highlight of our holiday. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make it memorable. My daughter had a cold and cough and everyone from the manager to the chef were so so kind and helpful. The chef even made a special hot drink for her. Honestly, I cannot stop recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. Cannot think of staying anywhere else whenever I visit Varkala for sure. The location,the facilities,the service provided and the beautiful natured smiling staff makes this THE NUMBER ONE place to stay for sure.
