My son and I stayed here last month and the experience from day one has been more than pleasant. The hotel is not too plush or luxury...its a decent one ..an old property hence no lift . The hotel is very close to temples and Ghats and safe vicinity. The owner of the property..Mr .Debashish however, more than makes it up for these tiny short comings with his out of the way hospitality. He provided us complimentary Water ,WIFI and toileteries as and when asked for ...mind you ..with NO EXTRA CHARGES unlike many other hotels in the vicinity...who do not . The room was big clean and tidy, with hot water all the time and the most important factor was Debashish ji who was always ready to help us with a beautiful smile anytime of the day is worth a 5 stars and more. We will come back again whenever we are in Varanasi in future . Thanks Debashish ji .

The team from Sandhya made us feel very, very welcome! We really appreciated the free access to bottled water and how helpful and supportive the staff was in providing us the right contacts and recommendations during our stay. But most we appreciated how personal they made our stay, celebrating my birthday in Varanasi with an unique cake made for me on the day - still left me feeling really special and much more than a guest. Also the location is great, as it is not right in the intense and busy centre of the city, nevertheless very close to the Ganga and all important sites. Highly recommend the facilities and staff of Sandhya Guesthouse!

The room/balcony was dusty and bathroom, though they cleaned and left a freshener, had mold on the door and hinges. The bidet needs to be changed as it was rusty.

The location was city centre accessible from road. The staff are polite and professional. They had upgraded our room to 2 double beds due to occupancy and it was spacious with 2 balconies

পুরনো দিনের হোটেল। কিন্তু ভালো লাগলো। খুব আন্তরিকতা পেলাম। গাইড থেকে শুরু করে সব কিছুই দেবাশিস দাদা বন্দোবস্ত করে দিয়েছেন। রাতের খাবার ওখানেই খেয়েছি। মাছের ঝোল ভাত টা ভুলবো না। চেটারজী দাদা যিনি রান্না করে খাওয়ালেন ভীষন অমায়িক।সব ভালো শুধু লিফট নেই। অনেক সিড়ি চড়তে হয়েছে।

Cleanliness could be improved. The pillow cases and blanket were not clean but they promptly changed them after we asked.

Good location near the Assi Ghat and big room. Wonderful host and his guys, super friendly and helpful!! We were sick during our stay and they went over and beyond to help us feel better! They constantly provided food, water, tea and fruits. They also gave us advise and help on going around. Definitely recommended!

Perfect location - easy walk to everywhere you want to go yet still close enough to main road to make it accessible and easy to find. Big rooms, basic but ticks all boxes. Always felt comfortable. Bose and the staff very cordial, welcoming. Nothing is too much. Take their advice, it’s valuable. Seems like they’re happy to help in every way.

Mr Debasish(Guest house owner) and staff were extremely supportive and went above and beyond to provide the best experience for us in Varanasi. They really tried to make us feel at home. Would provide a rating of more than 10 if possible. A hidden gem with a rooftop restaurant and an extended floor which provides a 360 degree view of Varanasi, overlooking the Ganges River. Also have easy access to auto taxis, with nearby shopping and food options.

Rooms are a bit smaller . Another problem what we faced ( in room no 117) that there is no almirah/cupboard for keeping clothes.

The restaurant is on the top floor (4th) ,you can find good quality and tasty food at a reasonable price. Lastly once again...any plan of booking.. make sure to take Mr. Subhash along as a guide.

This is not meant for family with elderly and young kids. Steps need to be climbed. Did not have good nights sleep due to so much bikes horns and dogs at night, probably this is true of all lodges around the ghat area.

The staff was very kind and provided great service, we were offered complimentary samosas, fruits and tea. Luggage was carried up and down by them. We were led by one of them to the nearby ghats and provided suggestions for dinner options.We were also given a spare room for keeping our bags after checkout. Nice location, would recommend for singles and young family who want to stay near to the ghats on budget.

Staff and owner where very helpful and polite, the property is very beautiful with spacious rooms available even for a group of 6 people. Location is on main road so one can travel to any part of the city with easy access to e-auto. They have their own kitchen with home cooked food on order and their own saree shop where one can purchase beautiful sarees. Overall the experience was mind blowing and I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting banaras.

Very nice stay, price is fair, well located near Harishchandra burning ghat, my room had a balcony on the street. WiFi worked great, very friendly staff and they arranged a closed box parking to park my bike. Highly recommended !
