Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing bad to say
Super nice house, very spacious, nicely laid out. We only stayed on night so didn't really get much time to chat with our hosts. Pity I think this is an ideal place as a base to explore Agra. Beds were really comfortable. Good value for the cost, A fine example of how things should be.

Truly exceptional stay! Shiv Kothi was one of the best places I stayed in India. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, the room was spotless and beautifully designed, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Very clean and nice. Highly recommend!

Everything! Such a wonderful family. When the hotel I orgianly booked was unacceptable I booked this and was so happy. Clean, excellent service, so many wonderful sitting areas. Bed was soft. Shower was separate,.unlike other places in India, no bucket bath. 100 percent recommend.

The host, run by a family, was really good and cooperative. They accepted our request to do an early check-in at 8:30 AM in the morning. Common space on the ground floor has a nice sitting area, a big dining table besides the kitchen. It is kept clean and you get a good home cooked breakfast. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, with good storage spaces. The room also had an attached balcony, shareable with another room. The balcony has a sitting space and it's good to spend some time sitting idle and listening to music. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and spacious enough. Also there are a lot of restaurants nearby with good food options.

Was a great location near the Taj and good restaurants. The room was very comfortable and clean and the owners were very attentive and helpful.

The homestay was clean and the rooms were very well maintained. The location was good and the family was lovely. The host was an India tour guide for decades, and had wonderful information for all of our India destinations. The breakfast was generous with delicious chai and aloo paratha.

We loved everything about our stay here! The rooms are big and comfortable, the wifi was great and the location is excellent. The highlight though is the host family - everyone is welcoming and friendly, and will do anything they can to make you feel comfortable. The owner helped us organise everything we wanted to do in Agra, and recommended a few extras as well. We will be back if we’re ever in Agra again - absolutely recommend.

Our stay at shive kothi homestay was fantastic! The rooms were impeccably clean, with comfortable beds and modern decor, and the location was perfect for exploring the city center. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to answer our questions and provide helpful recommendations. We particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommended thanks to muskesh sharma and his wife they're very kind and helpful

Good value homestay. Our room was rather large and host provided portable heater for the cold nights. What makes this stay stand out is the family. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and helpful. The wife is an excellent cook and both dinner and breakfast were tasty.

The property is run by the family. They are super welcoming and ready to help with recommendations and transportation. The room was big, bed comfortable. Breakfast was made according to our preferences. We were invited to join the family at a wedding; it was one of my best experiences.

The geyser was of small capacity. The water wud turn cold sometimes mid shower.
The place had everything we wanted or needed. Big spacious clean rooms, clean modern bathroom, amazing breakfast and very good location. Can not fault it. The hosts were very friendly and the helper boy was very prompt whenever we needed any assistance. The matriach of the family made exceptional breakfast everyday. Location was very close to taj mahal, metro station, shops, restaurants etc.

We loved our stay here! The room was big, with a nice and very clean bathroom (separate shower!). The owners were very nice and prepared a delicious and daily changing breakfast for us. We loved the location, in a calm neighborhood but still walking distance from the Taj (25 mins). It's next to the new metro line, so super easy to get to Agra Fort without having to deal with tuktuks.

Everything was perfect!
Very beautiful house with a great rooftop terrace. The room was very spacious and clean. It had everything we needed and it was a nice place to get some rest after a lot of sightseeing. The host Mukesh made us feel so welcome and was very helpful when arranging further travel plans. He helped us book a spa experience nearby, which was absolutely amazing and super relaxing! The breakfast was freshly prepared every day and very tasty! Although we spent only 3 days in Agra, we really felt like home. Definitely recommend it, and we will be coming back :)
