Mukeshji and his family are great hosts. Upon our arrival we had an amazing Indian home cooked meal which we had pre-ordered. From location point of view, this is situated at the most convenient place if you are in Agra to visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

The room was clean and cosy, the bed was very comfortable. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast and really enjoyed speaking with our hosts. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Taj Mahal.

The breakfast was traditional and tasty, the rooms as well as the entire house were very clean and tidy. You can tell that here experienced hosts are committed beyond the usual measure and want to make the guests a very pleasant stay. Also friends of the family often go in and out and it is nice to have a good chat and exchange over a tea in between. Friendliness, help and togetherness are in the foreground - always again very gladly!

Quiet, clean en suite room in a lovely home, hosted by a wonderful, friendly and helpful family. Location is easy within walking distance to Taj Mahal. I ate dinner here and it was superb and excellent value. The hosts went above and beyond to help me navigate around Agra, provided historical background of the area, and were very mellow and enjoyable people. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at this property ! Amazing hosts ! It is run by a fantastic family which make everything so you can feel like home. The rooms are located on the upper floor and are very private. Room and private toilet are very clean ! Very comfortable and well decorated ! The environment is amazing as so the rest of the house. You really feel safe at this place! You can have meals cooked by the family at a good cost and the food is simply amazing ! Very fresh, home made of course and delicious ! They also “offer” laundry service! The owner is amazing he helped us with everything we needed, in addition he helped us to park our motorcycle inside the house (we are traveling Índia with our bike). We were offered amazing tea during the day and a good conversation. We really recommend this place. Very close to Taj Mahal and the rest of the city.

I travelled with my husband to agra for our first marriage anniversary and stayed for 3 days at this homestay and we soon became frnds with the whole family ... Mukesh ji and Richa ji were so welcoming and courteous they treated us like close family members...the kids were very sweet and took a lot of effort in arranging the candle light dinner at their terrace (on request) with delicious homecooked food. Their personal guidance was very helpful for us to have a pleasant experience at all tourist places. Impressive interior of the house, Well maintained spacious rooms. Overall a very good experience and would suggest anyone and everyone to consider this place.

It is a great place to stay.

Exceptional value in Agra. Clean rooms, good facilities, excellent hosts. The food is high quality. Mr Mukesh and Ms Richa are wonderful hosts and can arrange all your needs. The family are very friendly and fun. Mr Mukesh can speak English and German. The children can speak excellent English. Ms Richa makes incredible food and the best chai tea in India. Highly recommended if you are looking for comfort and security.

Noise Overcharge

We booked this property based on previous reviews, particularly that it was quiet. Unfortunately at this time significant building works are happening in the property directly adjacent . These works went on late into the night . At 10:15 pm I spoke to the owner and asked when it will stop. They were very apologetic saying it will cease in 30 mins - it did not . The next day the husband said he had spoken to the workers and the noise would cease at 9pm . We appreciated this , but did not feel we should have to ask for this . We had also been given a room adjoining the adjacent property so at times it felt like the Jack hammering was into our brains . On checkout we were asked to pay almost 2000 rupees more than the price in booking.com We understood taxes but all the same queried and were told we had to pay booking.com commission . Never before have we had this . We queried again but had no clear answer and has we had to rush for a train paid it . We were asked to pay for a lunch we had taken , we declined and suggested this was waived based on this overcharge and due to the fact we endured all the building noise . Sadly this was not the nice experience we had expected based on the reviews

The first contact with the host was a bit complicated. We felt not welcomed. As someone well travelled with more than 15 countries staying in hotels, guess houses, home stays of all type of standings, this was the first time I felt so unwelcome. We were traveling in family and arrived around 9pm after a long day of driving. In the speed of the travel, we did a mistake in our booking and booked 2 rooms for 4 persons in total and misunderstood the rule on how to add a complementary person in one room since we are a family of 5. On their side they assumed we were 2 persons, one for each room. We understood our mistake but we didn’t appreciate how it was handled. My partner who is Indian was also surprised of the treatment. None of the other home stays or hotels we visited in India were asking so much information in their forms or looking at each passports with so much mistrustful. We understand that the information was needed but as a host there is ways to do and present things. After writing my nationality, our host bended over the paper to check and announced we had to book a 3rd room for the 5th family member without proposing other options. As tourists we are aware that there is differences of treatment compare to locals but is never nice when is brutally put in your face. On the overall we felt like if we were trying to take benefit of the property by trying to save money when actually we were trying to spend quality time in family and money was not the matter. At the end a solution was found with the help of my Indian partner and from there the stay was peaceful and host were nice. Everything is perfect at the property but my advice is to improve the first contact. Mistakes happen. In some way I understand our host first reaction but before assuming things I think is necessary to try to understand what happened and propose options.
