If you feel like you wanna stay at a place with good vibes, great yoga classes and great nature surroundings - you gotta visit. The stay at Ram‘s place was absolutely amazing. Everybody who’s working there is absolutely nice, caring and helpful. The personality of the people really gives a feeling of being ‚home‘. The yoga classes are of very high quality. And especially Ram went out of his way in terms of communication before my checkin even though I arrived very late at night. Thank you very much for everything!

There was a lot of disorganization.. some examples: 1. they did not inform us that the road going up was difficult to access (it even involved crossing a river!) and they could send a 4x4 to pick us up.. we came with a taxi from the airport and our taxi driver got very upset about where we were directing him.. we ended up having to get off the taxi and walk up until we were able to find the property and ask if they could come down to meet us (taxi driver refused to cross the river, understandably) 2. we asked for an extra blanket and it took over an hour to be given to us 3. when ordering food at the cafe you had to chase the owner (who sometimes was there and sometimes wasn't) to then give the order to the kitchen staff.. you couldn't talk directly with the kitchen staff even if they were there as otherwise they would lose track of what you ordered for billing.. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired.. the bathroom had a major ant infestation.. Also our room was not cleaned at all during our 3 day stay. Going down to Rishikesh was a long walk (and a steep ascent on the way back), and local taxis don't like to go there, so you have to call their (paid) 4x4. So overall, not easy to leave e.g. for dinner. While there were activities on site, like massages and yoga, none told us.. also the yoga area (the top of the cafe) was dirty and when we walked there to stretch there was staff sleeping there and we felt bad about disturbing them..

We picked this place to be a little far out of the city and in that sense it delivered (we found the town to be loud and polluted, and this location was way better). It is way up from Rishikesh city (a good 40' walk to get down and longer to come back up), and has a nice view. It has a waterfall nearby, which was pretty busy, and a tiny pool. The overall vibe was relaxed and laid back, with a lot of westerners staying there to attend a yoga teacher training on-site that lasts around a month. Definitely the highlight of the place for us was the cafe, which was this small but airy and comfortable space where food was served. Food quality was excellent, and we loved everything we had. We spent most of our time there sitting at the cafe and reading or chatting, or in the big bench outside of our room. They had filtered water always available for free. They have an option to do laundry in their portable laundry machine, very cheap, then you hang your clothes on a line. Our room was spacious and had mosquito nets. Wifi was ok but not great. Staff was very nice and sweet.
