Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It would have been better if there were facilities of any mess or provision for food. However, there are good hotels in walkable distance. So that's fine.

The bathroom shower needs a overalling.
Proximity to the Temple was a big plus. The property was clean with parking facility.

The house was not ventilated, all the windows were closed and it was hot and stuffy. The room itself was better, because it had an AC. On the way to the house, you have to cross a section of the road where people urinate publicly, this was disgusting.
The house was within walking distance to the temple. The room size was just enough for 3 people. The owner was helpful, he arranged an auto rickshaw for us on the day of our departure as it was very early.

It would be more generous to provide at least a small spoon to stir your own self brought coffee in one of only 2 cups offered! Practically no inter action or "live" conversation with the host, not the usual warm ambiance of a family run "guest house", therefore relatively expensive for "services rendered".
The location, spacious room and bathroom (but lacked a few hangers), cleanliness, stove for boiling water for one's own tea/coffee.

Anything you need during stay like food, you have to help yourselves. There is no helper in the facility.
The couples were friendly and accommodated our needs. We travelled with a 7 months old and requested them for cooking for the baby. They readily agreed. Rooms, bathrooms, bedspread, windows were sparkling clean. AC was good enough. Comfortable stay.

It is very nice place to stay in chidambaram. I feel like staying in my own house only. Traveled Tamil nadu for 5 days but no where got this type of rooms.

The place was neat and well maintained. Each room had a new AC unit that worked well and the water heater provided instant hot shower, which is always a big bonus in India. A family friendly place close to Nataraja temple. The owner and his wife made sure we were well cared for.

Facilities were very basic. Had to request towels and got very small towels. Kitchen equipment is very minimal. Hot water supply was variable. Overall, OK for the money you pay
Clean room and comfortable bed. Hosts were available and obliging. Close to the temple. Car parking was available.

neighborhood is very very dirty, this is a shame as you are staying in a nice building and as there are many more nice buildings in the street you would expect they would take care of their surroundings too....which is certainly not the case,
Friendly host who seems to be a doctor. the house is very clean.

It would have been nice to have free tea and coffee in the kitchen or even available for a small fee.
The room was a good size. We also has a large kitchen and lounge area we could use. We weren't staying long enough to use the facilities, but I'm sure a family would really benefit from them.

These are not must but It would be excellent if small couch is available. Also, kitchen could be slightly upgraded to add utensils in case someone want to cook.
Kind and helpful host. Very clean house, Basic facilities are there for short stay. Car parking is available. Street looked pleasant & calm midst busy city.

We were made to stay on second floor,the property has no lift/elevator,my in laws (sr. citizens)struggled the 37 steps to reach the room.No drinking water provided. It would have been good if full disclosure had been made regarding 'no lift'.
Family room was very comfy,bathroom had hot water and clean.Very close to temple.Quiet neighborhood. Hosts are good.
