There isn’t a lot of space to walk around the property. I found a bit of lack of activities. A spa would have been nice. If you are scared of dogs, make sure they are not left open when you enter the property at night coz otherwise they will bark at you loudly.

The decor and interiors are really aesthetic. The living room and TV are a good place to chill. The room was super clean and cozy. The beds are lovely. Every decor detail is paid attention to. The staff is really lovely and catered to all our needs. Food was really authentic and delicious. It was a wide spread for dinner which gave us options and we appreciated that.

Stayed at the property for two days and we absolutely loved it. It was my wife’s bday so they had arranged a nice cake for us along with flowers. The property itself is beautiful and very cozy. The staff and the owner Kanchana were extremely gracious and wonderful hosts. Will visit again! Thank you :)

Amazing cottage and facilities. If you want a break from your hustle life, this is the place you should definitely visit. You can live close to nature refreshing and relaxing. The host is very kind and friendly. Food is amazing, you can experience the authentic local food which is freshly made in the kitchen.

We are always on a look out for off beat places. We were impressed by the architecture of this house. Extremely detailed. The hosts have tremendous knowledge on Indian architecture, we loved chatting with them. Amazing traditional breakfast. Not to miss the pets - cats, dogs and cows.

This is a very beautiful cottage with a cute loft. Very tastefully appointed to the tiniest detail. The host and the staff are very thoughtful and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Food is delicious and the they serve a wide variety in the set menu. The cottage provides the required privacy despite being in the same space as the hosts.

I stayed in Svarna - attic house, had a good time with family. the staff were homely and the owner - Kanchana Pai took good care of everything. The cottage house is built aesthetically with wood completely. It's a must visit for some pleasant stay by the river and nature.

Nothing that I can think of. Being close to NH66, there can be sone humming noise of the vehicles hustling around.. bit that didn't bother much

Mesmerising natural beauty, twittering of birds, on the banks of the beautiful Suvarna river, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but nevertheless near to the main city of Udupi- Svarna home stay @ Race and Reduce encompasses all of this. To top it up, there's a warm and hospitable treatment from Kanchana Pai and her Husband...just adorable. You'll feel like "being at home" away from home. Things I loved the most were- homely feeling, hospitality, nature surrounding the cottage, cleanliness in the cottage, a latent feeling of belongingness (which one may not experience in a commercial hotel), authentic south Indian food, attention to detail while designing this beautiful cottage... Sit back in the cozy balcony, enjoy bird watching, sip a cup of tea with milk from their own cowshed, read a book and discover yourself...talk to your body. These are the kind of activities you'll yearn to do while you're here. Cattle egrets, Brahmani Kites, white wattled lapwing, peacock s, pheasant are some birds which I saw here. Egrets following the grazing cattle was a mesmerising experience... The cottage is perfect to accomodate a family of 4. There's a cosy mezza nine floor that can accomodate 2 adults. This was my favourite spot. The interior designing is just impeccable and one can feel the thoughtfulness with which the things are laid out.. Would definitely recommend Svarna, for a small family yearning to have leisure vacation in Udupi.

Everything was great

Fantastic staff, lovely surroundings, and a very cute room. The hotel has the nicest and most helpful staff I've ever encountered. The hotel was outstanding in every way. We had breakfast there, and the place was spotless, spacious, and had great service. The food was excellent and well-valued, and attentive service was provided. The room itself was cozy and very well furnished. I had a great time during my visit. In the future, I plan to return for a longer stay.

The stay was gorgeous and so thoughtfully built. We had a great time staying here, the loft on top was a great space to unwind(read a book, watch a movie, bird watching). This is a perfect place to be lazy and do nothing if that is what you are looking for. The food was lovely, we had some wonderful home cooked meals which was absolutely yumm..
