Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRather than being a tranquil lakeside hotel, it seems to be a bit of a nightspot, with one of it’s terraces occupied by a bar/restaurant called ‘Sangria – an Art of Mixology’ which has a mixture of live bands and DJ’s who perform until around midnight. Since we couldn’t beat them, we joined them on a couple of nights, and had quite a fun time and the food was OK but unmemorable, but the rather samey music eventually begins to grate after a couple of hours – unfortunately it was almost as loud in our room as it was in the bar itself. This bar seems only loosely associated with the hotel itself, and we were not able to charge anything to our room, as we could in the other restaurants and cafes. It turns out that the hotel is just outside the old city wall and during the day various busses of different sizes would pull up and disgorge some passengers who would then engage in negotiations with the local Tuk-Tuk cartel whose members would eventually whisk them off to somewhere in the old town where streets are too narrow for busses. Apart from the Tuk-Tuk goings on, there was also quite a bit of doggie activity. There was a mother and puppy who seemed to have territory immediately in front of the hotel and around the corner there was a fair-sized pack of about 20 dogs who from time to time would run about and chase each other or passing cars and would often howl late into the night. There is one other café/restaurant next to the lobby called the Pot Garden which advertises itself as a 24 hour Bistro. I had coffee there a couple of times as it has an Espresso machine. The first time I ordered a double espresso and they gave me two double espressos!
The reception staff were friendly and helpful when we checked in. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable and had plenty of bottled water. The housekeeping staff were all very friendly and happy to hand over extra bottles of water and instant coffee when needed. Breakfasts were OK – good buffet of fruit and various Indian breakfast dishes – and they would prepare eggs and toast on demand. Only instant coffee was available, and the fruit juices were out of cartons, but they did have a plentiful supply of strong tea. The same restaurant does Indian food by night (called the Heritage or something like that), and we ate there on the night we arrived. I have to say it was probably the nicest meal I ate while I was in Udaipur. I had a ‘Rajasthani Chicken’ which was delicious, quite spicy and had just the right level of heat for me. My wife had Dhal Makhani which she found too hot (it was slightly hotter than the chicken but I found it quite tasty). We had various breads as well and they were all very good.

IndiaThe swimming pool was not adept for swimming since it was cold, it became an ornamental piece of water that no one could use, we expected more items during breakfast.
The staff was really helpful to get the room we expected in the first place, also to help us with general questions. We felt welcomed and also enjoyed the eventful evening and night in their sangria bar and restaurant. It was charming and the food tasty. The room was ample, there was hot pleasant water in the shower, the room was clean and the bed felt like a paradise

All staff were friendly, the superior queen room was spacious however the bathroom needed a more detailed clean. There was also no city view as listed on Booking.com in fact the view from the room was very poor, overlooking rooftops covered in rubbish. The Sangria bar on the rooftop was sensational with the best Mai Tai (alcoholic) cocktails ever! There was a huge selection of food & drinks, the setting was gorgeous with stunning views of the lake and live music during the evening. Food here was also delicious & although I would prefer to stay at a better property, I’d definitely return to the rooftop bar!

IndiaLot of noise on the weekends due to late night songs, sound comes inside the rooms & is also quite loud. Rooms are smaller. Better suited for party goers rather than family audiences.
