I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sylvan Resort in Kalpetta, Wayanad, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The resort is nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful location, surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful environment that makes it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. The food at the resort was excellent, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. The highlight of our dining experience was the barbecue chicken we had for dinner—it was simply mouthwatering!

From the moment we booked our accommodation at SylVan, they ensured the best service possible. Their Property Manager, Akhil, reached out to us before our trip to provide a great overview of the property and its offerings. He recommended the best route and suggested a superb restaurant for us to stop at on the way for lunch—we ended up eating there three more times during our trip, haha! The property is peaceful, well-maintained, and staffed by courteous and polite people. We had booked the standard family room and were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade due to availability, which elevated our experience even more! A big thank you to them for that. SylVan also has its own farm and plantation for coffee and tea. They offer a sample of their fruity black coffee every morning at 8AM, which was a nice touch. Akhil offers a morning walk to a nearby stream, one of the highlights of our stay. If you're lucky, you'll witness a fisherman feeding all the stray cats as he passes through in the mornings. The cats line up and wait patiently, like school kids waiting for their bus! The service and food are top-notch. We enjoyed many local delicacies, including Parotta, Chicken Curry, Pazzum Poli (batter-fried banana), steamed Bananas, Kappa (a spiced tapioca dish, a staple in Malabar cuisine), Idiyappam, Korma, and so much more. The property has a couple of native cows, whose milk is used daily. The property is well-lit, and we felt very safe during our entire stay. Property Amenities: They have a swing, a pool (small but perfect for small groups of 2-4 people to relax in), and a viewing deck at the highest point of the property, ideal for catching sunrises and sunsets. The property manager can recommend the best routes to see all the attractions of Wayanad. However, to get to the property, you will need your own vehicle or a taxi.

They could serve food at room or atleast allow to have the food at the balcony they could clean the pool every day/ or more frequent basis. They could serve the traditional kerala food instead of boring repeated menu in breakfast

Location wise, it is awesome and very pleasant and calm stay in the mid of jungle/woods with the liberty to breath a very fresh air all the time.. and ambience inside the resort is pleasing one... and the guests are treated with care and due respect... Being in remote location, it is the benefit to get more closer with nature... sound of birds will greet you in every day morning.... Rooms and rest rooms are super clean! They do their job to their best! they deployed cleaning workers to keep the property neat and clean always... very very peaceful...

You can not go anywhere without a car. It's so far from anywhere. We asked a car for two persons for local travel. The hotel arranged a 6 seater car whose charge was obviously more. Next day we travelled from Wayanad to Kochi. Uber was showing Rs. 6000 as fare. From the hotel we could not get anything less than Rs. 10000. I booked four hotels in Kerala for this trip. others did not ask for advance, we paid while checking out. Sylvan asked Rs. 2000 advance as soon as we booked and took 100% advance when we checked in. Clearly they don't trust their customers.

The room was excellent. The coffee garden and the trees nearby with a tiger pug mark two days old were exciting. Breakfast quality was good. Food ordered, some from outside but arranged by the hotel were good.

situated in a green quiet location this newly established resort is nicely decorated with a lot of love for details. Staff is very welcoming and helpful, they even booked a train ticket for me. Breakfast was amazing, with mainly Indian/Kerala dishes. Lots of activities for kids, nice (small) swimming pool and a tower with a lovely view. The whole property with the garden is very well maintained

The forest facing room is good but the view is the only thing I wasn’t happy about

Our stay for 2 nights was well managed & the staff (including the Manager Akhil) took good care of us. The property overlooks the Chembra Peak on one side and coffee plantation on the other and makes for an absolute serene getaway if you are looking for one. It’s equipped with swimming pool & don’t miss the watch tower (sunrise & sunset views) for anything. In all we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property as good option for a family getaway 👌
