Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesWe had a terrible experience trying to book a service at the hotel's spa. More specifically, my friend and I arrived at the hotel at 6 PM and asked the reception where we could find the prices for the spa services. The receptionist gave us a brochure listing only the services, but without any prices. She then informed us that there was a QR code on the TV in our room that would give us access to all this information. When we got to our room, we were surprised to find that our TV was broken. We called a technician, who fixed it, but when we tried to scan the QR code, it didn’t work. I called the reception again to ask for the prices, and they told me I would receive them via WhatsApp in a few minutes. However, we never received 3 hours late. More than three hours passed, and we decided to go to the reception in person. The receptionist finally found a paper with the prices, but unfortunately, there were no more available appointments for the following day—the very day we were leaving the hotel. The second issue happened during our last breakfast. We asked the chef who was preparing waffles if he could make a fresh one, as the two that were there were already hard. He promptly said that they would bring it to our table. More than five minutes passed, so I got up to check what was going on and was told that it was not ready yet. I returned to my seat and kept an eye on the waffle machine—it seemed to be working fine. Then, I saw the chef take the old waffles and bring them to the kitchen. I got up again and waited for him to return. When he came back, he literally ran into me and had no explanation—he just apologized. Honestly, I believe that these two incidents should not happen at a five-star hotel. And all they did was give me a 10% discount on the food and drinks I consumed. I find their treatment of me completely disrespectful, and if it were up to me, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
The resort is very comfortable and clean. We love the restaurants and the atmosphere.

United StatesThe property is very dated. It is very far from old Jaipur and the access road is terrible. It is heartbreaking to see the amount of garbage in the side of the road as you access the property. Rather hard to get an get to come there because it is far away. I wish Taj would updated the extremely dated rooms and take up the initiative of keeping the roads free of garbage.
The staff! Excellent and helpful, we were rather disappointed with the rooms and they updated us immediately, service is superb. Food is also amazing. However this does not make up for the very dated rooms and the distance to old Jaipur.

AustraliaThis hotel had so much potential to be the best stay. Facilities were good but unfortunately service was a disappointment. My husband and I stayed with Devi Ratn for 2 nights for our honey moon. On the first night, our check in was too brief to the point we couldnt work out where the restaurants were. There was a wedding on the night of arrival to which all the attention was put towards them. We were not informed of the disruptions it would cause in advance. 1 whole restaurant was closed limiting options. On the second day we went out to do all touristy things. We came home late around 10pm to find the room not made. I called guest services to ask for fresh towels and informed them the room wasn’t made, amenities not topped. They advised they could do it for us but unfortunately it was too late in the night and we had a flight to catch early next morning. Upon check out, there were issues with their eftpos. We needed to leave to catch our flight. This was an inconvenience to us. Overall, facilities and breakfast was good but service was a let down and a poor experience for us.

IndiaThe architecture, the distance from the city Center, the view from room. Our room faced the zip lining activity area in Wing C. The spa was short staffed. The dinner was messed up. They got my husband’s dinner 25 minutes before mine. We had ordered a sourdough feta sandwich, they got a focaccia sandwich with a sliced cheese; then it was so late that I ended up eating curd rice from the buffet.
The beds were very comfortable. The check in process was seamless and the team at the reception was welcoming, understanding of our arrival time to direct us to lunch promptly. The therapist Nina in the Spa was fabulous. Also the Spa manager was very efficient and understanding and managed to get us an appointments in spite of the shortage of staff. The team at dinner was sympathetic after the order was messed up and offered if they could make something special for breakfast.

Hong KongThe service was not good, we had a lot of our requests/orders not properly understood and got different dishes than what we expected. And on the other side, we could have 3 waiters coming in a row asking how was the experience.. It didn't feel like they were working as a team... The waiting time when ordering from our room was very long (25 min) even just to get 3 bananas... The " a la carte" menu cruelly likes diversity, and it really feels like we are forced to take the buffet but the issue is that the buffet is quite the same at lunch and dinner (only few variations of dishes) every day which is very boring... A lot of kids activities require extra fees.
The property is nice. The chef made a good effort to cook some congee for us as we got sick (when eating at another restaurant outside, not at this hotel). The chef also made some gluten free naan for me upon request.

The wc was kinda brown as most of them in India but I was not expected it in a 5 star hotel. Also the towels could not be used, they also had a shade of grey and were not dparkling clean. They have another standard of cleanliness here in India. Also, it was a wedding going on on the property and the music was so loud we couldn’t fall asleep. After we told them, they lowered it a bit, it was still hearable but we were able to sleep. For 180 eur I paid per night I was expecting something else.
It is a nice hotel, the sheets were clean, there were water bottles in the room, the property is big, looks nice overall
