The hotel is set back from the road with an orchard in front making it less noisy from vehicles. The staff was efficient and helpful. We spent some time with Bhagyashree in the comfy lobby sitting area and she was such a delight giving us the history of the property and hotel. She was also super helpful, ordering dinner for delivery so we wouldn’t have to go out and giving us travel tips. We are birders and the grounds were gorgeous and allowed us to see some birds in both the evening and morning even though we left early. The room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. Parking is available on the property.

Lovely property, very clean and tidy. With the grass and gardens surrounding, you’ll forget you are just 10 metres from the hustle and bustle of busy Dehradun. Staff are very accommodating and the lady who greeted us was very considerate and friendly. We arrived late at night and were received with fantastic hospitality. Food is also fantastic. Highly recommend.

The property entrance is spacious & greeted by lawns & several litchi trees! It’s super clean & ambience is minimalist that gives calming effect. The highlight of this property & that leaves a lasting pleasant memory is the hospitality of both Bhagyashree & Sanchit! They are both great hosts, came across as loving & caring young couple who treated us like their own family members. I am now their permanent guest whenever I am around Dehradun 😊

I was just on my way to trek with Indiahikes and pick up was at some hotel just 2min walk away. That's why i was looking for an accomodation nearby. So happy that i found this lovely Hotel - I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Dehradun! First of all the owners are incredibly kind, caring and extremely helpful. The property is very beautiful and let you relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Rooms are generously big, very clean and provides everything you wish for - even a Smart TV ;-) Thanks to have made my stay so pleasant!!! PS: If you are a trekker you should consider staying here!

We met Bhagyashree who runs the home stay with her family. She was very friendly, helpful, transparent about the rooms and rates and extremely proactive. The place is very well maintained, clean, spacious and it has lovely lawns and orchard. The room is very comfortable and we had the best hand beaten coffee served to us.

What a beautiful property and such amazing owners/staff who run the show. I booked for just one night for my solo trek with Trekup India, and I wish I had more days to enjoy this beautiful property. It is located in the hustle and bustle of the city mandi, but yet it felt like I was somewhere in the middle of a forest. They have this huge garden space, surrounded by trees and beautifully maintained garden. I had to get some trekking gears, and the owners went out of the way to drop me to the right place. They made sure I had the best room with a view, ultra clean and very, very comfortable... I slept like a baby. Thank you for your amazing hospitality. You are in the right business. May your cult grow 🙏

Everything at this place was top notch. The host, Bhagyashree was super sweet and welcoming. We arrived late in the night but had not paid for the rooms in advance. The staff were courteous enough to hold our booking without payment and without canceling it. Bhagyashree also went out of her way by offering us some pastries despite it being super late in the night, to celebrate one of our friends' birthdays. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious. The lawn and the litchi orchard amidst which the property is situated made it a beautiful setting. The customer service though is truly commendable. Each of our rooms had a box of deliciously baked cookies. You can also order breakfast at the property or order from outside. We ordered poha, pancakes and coffee that was truly delicious. The location of this place is also well situated, it's easily accessible to all the places that you'd want to visit in Doon. I would totally recommend this place for their rooms, service and hospitality.

The place is still located close to the busy road but the garden helps with the noise.

We stayed at the Cocoon before and after our hike with India hikes and we’re super happy with our choice. On our way back we stayed in the newly renovated room which was very comfortable and luxurious, definitely worth the extra charge. But what truly sets this place apart is the care from the owner. It’s rare these days to see such a genuine care for a customer and their needs. She made our lives easier every step of the way - help with printing, laundry, taxi, we even got some cookies when leaving :) I would highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Dehradun.

I doubt I could do justice to how much I recommend this place with a review. Nestled away right on the main road, this property gives one a cozy feeling the moment you walk in. The quaint building set in sprawling lawns makes you feel at home even before you check in. We happened to chance by this place when looking for places online, and have no regrets. The proprietor Bhagyashree went out of her way to make sure we felt at home even though we arrived weary at 10PM. I've never felt so welcomed or cared for as a guest at a hotel/b&b. The breakfast is also cooked on the premises by family so is basically home cooked, and was wonderful. All the staff were courteous and helpful and definitely recommend anyone visiting Dehradun to without thought stay here. Bhagyashree even gave us company and had great conversation as we had a late bus and we're just chilling in the lobby. Cocoon by name, Cocoon by feeling!

I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and helpfulness of the host, which made it much more than just a stay in another hotel or hostel. I liked the way that the accommodation is back from the road. Tasty breakfast. Also a good location for me to head out to Mussorie. Although only breakfast is provided, I was happy to order in food after a day of site seeing.

They served an excellent breakfast but it couldn't be arranged before 9:15 AM, that was the earliest timing for having breakfast in the hotel.

We stayed at the Cocoon twice and had a great experience. Its quite an oasis on a busy street. The rustic building in between the orchard gives a sense of calm. The hosts are very approachable. I particularly loved the breakfast options. The staff were kind to set up a table for us on the lawn to enjoy the morning sun. The rooms are sufficiently spacious and do have air-conditioning as well as heater options. We picked this hotel as it was close to the pick-up location of our trek and would highly recommend it for anyone who's looking for a clean, budget hotel in the area.
