IndiaThe first room I was checked into had a very mouldy damp smell . The second room had the same smell . I guess it’s an old property . The vents need to be checked. I’m very sensitive to smell and that day I was having a bad flu and I still could smell it . I even thought maybe it’s the room freshner but it was not . I guess for housekeeping staff they are use to the smell and don’t think of it different . Otherwise my stay was good and the food was good too .

IndiaOnly problem waa the constant loud noise from the neighborhood. The loudspeaker would start around 7 am and go on till 7 pm. Some rooms should have noise cancellation settings
The property is central to all places we wanted to visit. Central for our friends who were visiting us. Mynt, the multi-cuisine restaurant was excellent...quality of food was really really good. Breakfast buffet was a super spread. Friendly staff in the hotel. Housekeeping to those at front desk to those at security check at entrance to those in the restaurant...all friendly happy people. Loved the decor too.

United StatesThe facilities are beginning to show their age and need better upkeep. The walls as we exited the elevator on our floor were not fully painted. The corridor was musty and poorly lit and residents had shoes and kids toys parked outside their rooms. The drain in the sink was partially clogged and there wasn’t much space to hang towels in the bathroom.
Neat and clean. Stellar and respectful service staff! True to the Taj name. It is one of my favorite hotels in Kolkata.

IndiaRoom card was regularly not working in lthe ift and while room entrance. Poor English of swimming pool stuff. Servant brought not clean cup of coffee , while serving food was touching the food with his hands, when I complained to manager, he did the same. Cleanness of food serving must improve to respect private zone of customers. Violated boundaries of private life of others is common thing in India, it must not present at least at hotels especially with foreign guests. it's serious issue must be taken care about. Solving this problem India would welcome much more tourists from around the world.

United Arab Emirates1. would prefer a temperature-controlled pool. 2. provide privacy (possibly a temporary partition) around the pool as the seminar hall is adjacent to it and would have onlookers turning around to get a glimpse. at least for the female pool users.
The staff at the reception, restaurant and the house keeping team were very friendly and courteous. Always bore a smile which was very positive and radiating lot good vibes.
