Sometimes the breakfast was too busy, and items run out. Hotel lobby air conditioner not enough in the morning.

The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of items. Cool pool table.

The property is too far from the City

The property is good and the staff, service and the breakfast was good. I was bit concerned about the location it was far from the City.

Lighting - If I turn on the restroom lights, the entire room gets lighted, disturbing others sleep.

Ideally located in the IT Area of Chennai, just in the outskirts of the city. Easily reachable and relatively traffic jam free.

Receptionist lady was not curtious and chk in date night time pool side manager was also rude with the kids and dint let them play even for few mins....kids were disappointed.

There could be a better wifi access system for guests in the lobby. Sometimes guests have checked-in, but do not have wifi access because their room is not yet ready. Sometimes guests have checked-out, but need wifi in the lobby as they wait to depart the hotel. There should be a system in place to provide these guests with wifi. Also, the steam room was not working properly—although it showed it was 'on', there was no steam. Great gym (but wish it could be open longer!)

Rohit at the front desk was exceptionally helpful, and even accommodated us with a free upgrade to a pool-facing room for our one-night stay. Thank you so much, Rohit! You really made our stay at Vivanta special.

Room was good by small when compared with the nearby hotels with same price Also the room which I stayed was not having any privacy since we had a door connecting with another room and the person next to our room was using sound system all through the night

-> We had a room facing OMR, hence it is noisy all the time, even though the sound proof glasses are there, but still it is noisy. -> It is TAJ property, so I expect 100% all around maintenance, I do see the broken furniture in swimming pool, room flooring is too old, as the doors which felt like we are in some old building. -> Seating arrangement in restaurant for breakfast is less space, hence missing our privacy in there. They could put two people seating in the middle row, and four people over the corners to get some space around. -> Staff all are more into their tasks, and not spending time with guests in breakfast area, as we travel around alot, we tend to speak with staff as our friends, except here all the places we had a good chat with all the staff, discuss their interests, talk about their hometown etc etc, but here staff tend to cut short and jump to their tasks. This gives us an impression that we are in some tensed area.

People , Very good Staff, Great support all round. Senthil Kumar from front desk, provided a pleasant check in and check out experience. Staff in restaurant for breakfast were hard working with smiley face, people we met Priyashana, Abigail, Santu, Priti, Liya all were exceptionally hardworking. Swimming pool was good, temperature is little cold, but the chlorine level was well maintained.

Gym is not very well maintained - some weights need replacement Bathroom needs better maintenance - basins are stained Welcome chocolates in the room did not look fresh - the plate had dust on it and was not covered

Friendly staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable Chef Aswini prepared special vegan dishes for some of us Only hotel on the trip thus far who had milk substitutes (almond and soy) Pillows are amazing!
