Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I stayed at The Hosteller for a day and had a great experience. The place was neat, clean, and absolutely worth the money. I especially liked the digital room lock system that resets every morning—it felt very safe and secure. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even allowing me an early check-in upon request. They also have a nice common area with seating for food, a game setup, and a TV, which adds to the relaxed vibe. Even though it was a short stay, I genuinely enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to others.

The door locking system could be simplified with NFC. Using a one-time password (OTP) that changes every 10 minutes is complicated and requires you to have your phone at all times.
The hostel is good, but the location isn’t ideal—there aren’t any nearby hangout spots. I would recommend Indiranagar or Koramangala.

Manager at the reception was very interactive and informed us about the hostel at the time of check-in. Every guest has to submit the long web check and provide the information through their GLU app. They have a big common area on rooftop and where you can meet and see the co travelers. Room and washroom was very clean infact the entire hostel. I would definitely recommend as this is hardly 40 mins drive from the airport and manyata tech park offices are 2 kms.

I can understand hostel ppl can’t control the behavior of inmates but should try to display more and instruct in a friendly way to the guest to keep the sound low after 10:30 , ppl behave like come 10-11- sometimes 12-01 am and switch on the lights and speak loudly, please try to instruct in a friendly way.
One of the best hostel if you want to stay near manyata tech park . Staff were attentive and clean rooms , common lobby is great , good value for money

There was no canteen, so food had to be ordered from outside. The common area is marked as non-smoking but it was not enforced.
I liked the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff. Decent restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Comfortable at its best😍. A cheap price with good facilities. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and bed is so comfortable. Staffs are so friendly and helpful.

I would put a ten but the guy who seemed to be the owner was so unfriendly, he was like angry the full time. Really disgusting. The regular workers were nice but they were not able to give me any information, I asked them about the sim card and laundry and they were like "haha, I don't know". Would be good if they were prepared to help the guest with the basic info. Also, the location is not good if you came to visit the city, it's far from everything. If you came to work or just spend couple of nights and relax, is a good place.
Really cheap considering the good conditions of the hostel. Everything is very new and the rooms and bathroom are clean and the bed so confortable, with curtains, plug and light. Common room upstairs is great. Security guard was so funny. Good vibe with the other guests.

Too much surveillance, lack of access to terrace, no park nearby, surroundings full of dirt and dust.

Location, very tiny lane, location staff don't know Hindi, at least they should mention which language they can understand! The room look was not working, I had to come from my room to reception every time if I needed to open my room lock! Nobody was responding to the given mobile number for guest service. This place is not like The Hosteller not lively like other hostellers, it's a dull and empty place, and that's exactly the reason! Staff is not at all enthusiastic including the manager! Avoid this property not value for money!
It was clear that was the only good thing about this place!
