I had a wonderful experience staying at The Hosteller Wayanad. The location is perfect, offering both peaceful surroundings and easy access to nearby attractions. Pool area didn’t have any sunbeds and water could have been cleaner Inflexible in terms of paying for food in that you had to use their app and couldn’t pay staff directly

Garbage dump near the swimming pool is a turn off. Should be shifted to some other place. Rest all is too good.

There is a space to keep our things under the bunk bed but locks were NOT provided. When asked they said I have to buy it. That could have been avoided. Although it is not a complaint. Carry a paddle lock.

I had one of the best stays in my life here. First of all, I met a lot of people. There was a large area for us to play carroms, table tennis, chess etc. I felt young like a teenager. I didn't use the pool. But it was good. I also enjoyed the food too. I found the place serene. I recommend this for both bachelors and families.

Whatever food was there on the menu was good but would have loved it even more if there could have been some local food as well else I loved everything.

I really enjoyed my Wayanad visit and one reason has to be this property. The property gives a mini resort like vibes. And staff here are the best part about The Hosteller Wayanad. No matter how pretty a property is it is the staff working there that makes it what it is. Each staff member was very supportive and friendly. I was there during the T20 WC semi Finals and Finals and staff arranged the screening in the common area which everyone enjoyed a lot.

No buckets in bathroom, They didn't clean beds and room daily. Wifi was troubling alot.

Flush in one room wasn't working. No restaurant service available ,and the cafeteria served expensive food.

Facilities can be improved, like some gym equipment at least dumbbells' can be added. Activities can be planned for solo travellers like boating at nearby lake, trekking, saturday night movie on projector etc.

The property has various common areas to chill in. It’s green, surrounded by trees and the pool area is lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The check in process was a joke. We were staying for 3 night but had to do 33 different bookings due to availability. This isn't usually an issue but the gosteller make you use their payment portal which added approx 3GBP per booking in fees which is not an advertised cost!! We thiguht we could pay for the room with card or cash when we got there but you have to do it online and it was not working. It took 2 hours for me to sort and then duplicate payments were taken. I then had to contact head office as the payments are separate from the hostel themselves. It was very clunky and a huge waste of time. The hosteller refused to refund the payment fees, which I felt that they should have done as the cost was not advertised when booking and since they were separate bookings, it then made the accom out of our budget but it was not refundable.... really not transparent at all. The facilties for the hostel are probably the beat I've seen but there are no organised activities or help with excursions, which, for the area, is needed as there's nothing obvious to do. Food also took over an hour to come each time, again ordering through and app despite being the only people there and the local town is a good walk away for food options. It was a frustrating experience that that tainted our stay.

Don't recommend going for any adventurous or cycling treks here at Wayanad without complete safety equipment and proper guidance by the organisers.

Great hospitality by the entire staff. Had a comfortable stay. Met with an accident during a cycling trip but received a lot of help by the property manager Mr. Shubham. He made sure we got everything we needed timely as things got a bit difficult after the cycling mishap. The staff was super friendly and positive. Definitely recommend booking it. Loved the ambience and the overall look n feel of the property. Great coffee and bread omelette. Thanks for making our stay comfortable and pleasant.
