Such a homely place I would stay. Vibe here is different from other places. People just sit here and talk like friends, play games, sing. Hospitality is great. The host vishal was very welcoming and helpful. He helped with cab, scooter, recommendations to near by attractions, how to reach, or any questions you ask. There’s a stream very close to the hostel, behind there’s a field, many cafes nearby. Location is great still away from all noises. Will get a good sunset view and good starry night view. Must visit hostel if you’re in Bir.

The Hostel Stories was a very nice experience! The hostel is in a fantastic location just a few minutes walk from the landing site for exploring the Bir, It is well priced for value and they have a beautiful balcony overlooking the mountains which was amazing. The best part though is the hospitality shown by the staff and owner, Raman was a very kind and helped me out with anything I needed, local recommendations for places to eat and things to try, for any travelers new to Himachal I highly recommend this place as Host will share so much information to make your stay wonderfull, would stay here again when returning too Bir, thank you guys.

Bunker beds

Nestled among the lofty Himalayan ranges the hostel is situated right next to a stream and offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and paragliders gliding through open skies. I was lucky to meet some really good people here who had come from different parts of the country. There were a few foreign visitors too. The rooms have adequate space. Overall my stay here was amazing and I look forward to come back here soon.

I liked everything.

The host who is more like dost, The river stream flowing by the side of the abode, The rising sun from the window of the dorm, The music and singing in the evenings. In the sky, the scenaries of paragliding birds in the queque flying next to each other and meeting new faces, artists everyday who turn into friends for life.

This place is just amazing in every way! Nestled right by a river stream, the hostel offers a beautiful rooftop space with fantastic views. The location is ideal – only a short 300-meter walk from the landing point, with plenty of great cafes nearby, all within walking distance. I absolutely loved the food here! It was wholesome, delicious, and had that perfect touch of home, served with just the right amount of love. The vibe here is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for solo travelers and long-stay guests who want to relax and connect with others. As a solo female traveler, I felt super safe and welcomed here. A special shoutout to our incredible host, Raman, who always looked out for me and ensured I felt secure, even when I ventured out on my own. The rest of the staff is just as wonderful, keeping everyone well-fed and making sure we feel at home in this space they've created with so much love.

It was a wonderful homely feeling while staying with the hostel stories. First of all, the property is located just next to the river stream & you can't feel bored even if you are alone sitting on the balcony. Host & owner Raman is a wonderful man who is always there to help on all queries & suggested me to some offbeat places. I really likes the way he maintains the crowd staying in the hostel, which turns this hostel into a unique stay experience. I recommend this hostel to all Solo Travelers specially.

Everything was great, nothing to dislike

You can’t find any better property than this in bir because this is the only hostel near a water stream and even the host, Raman bhaaai is very friendly & the best host we ever met. The crowd which comes here is also really good. The food here is delicious and home cooked with a community kitchen.

The property was perfect. It was close enough to the prettiest cafes and landing site so that you can walk, but also distant enough to have the peace some people might be looking for. The stream beside the property adds such a serene value. As a solo traveller who's looking for the calm and quiet but also loves to be around all kinds of people if mood be, this place was just heaven for me. The staff was awesome and so helpful. Raman is the greatest host one can ever ask for. He's the most warm and welcoming person I've ever met honestly. Makes you feel right at home. I would definitely come back soon.

Few things I loved: 1. River flowing by the side, serene vibe 2. Great board game collection 3. The host - Mr. Raman is an experienced traveller and understands their needs. After your check-in, a list of well-researched resources greet you in WhatsApp which help you plan your stay. 4. Place somehow manages to attract great crowd, I had a lot of fun staying there. 5. You can use the kitchen to cook stuff (very useful for people staying for long periods). Be a good guest and don't forget to clean up after :) I would love to come back and stay for longer durations.
