Unmad is an experience I am waiting to repeat. Simple, warm, clean rooms in an exceptional mountain setting with heart warming company and hospitality for a solo travel like me. Kishan and team did a great job and more importantly helpful in all ways . Quite a bit of stairs to climb with which I struggled to climb initially fresh from city out of exercise, but it got better and rewarding as the stay progressed..

The Unmad is a gem. It’s located on a small hill, with a wonderful view on the mountains. Rooms are sparkling clean and spacious, and service is professional and friendly. The restaurant offers an amazing variety of delicious and healthy food, and Krish and his staff are always happy to accommodate

The price is a little much but not bad enough to keep me away again.

This is a great stay for a weekend getaway with a romantic partner to the mountains or a longer stay solo style.

The property was lovely and oh so cozy. Gorgeous views! Away from the crowds which we loved. Our hosts - two legged (Aparna, Sakshi & Krishan) and four legged (Tuffy & Leo) were very welcoming. We were travelling with our fur baby Leo & they did everything possible to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable. Everything on their menu is yum! If you intend to do the Triund trek, this is a good base. It’s a 30 min uphill walk from here to Gallu Devi Temple which is the starting point of the trek.

internet speed could improve a lot. if you are planning workation I would suggest to carry your own Hotspot and don't rely on room wifi.

The hosts are lovely people, who actually walk the walk and not just talk the talk :). The location is great for those looking for peace and quiet. Walking distance from Dharamkot and Bhagsu, but you have to take into account that this is a significant climb. The walk can be shortened, there is an access road and then stairs leading to the place. Thank you Sakshi and Krishan for the great hospitality, recommendations and mostly the talks.

There are spider webs around the water jug outside the room, and there is no full length mirror in the room.

The place has a very peaceful, lively and joyful vibe. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful. The dogs at the property are amazing and if you are going for the Triund trek, one of them most likely will accompany you to start off your trek with just the perfect energy and correct path!

Place it's a little bit far away from main part Dharamkot where all restaurants and cafes are but there is a restaurant in Unmad and food is reasonable priced. It's a wet bathroom and that can be annoying sometimes.

This place is upper Dharamkot in a very calm area. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the hosts are very friendly and helpful.

The beds are a little stiff. We had a few power outages during our stay - one went on for an entire night. Also, it's not their fault but if you are into serenity and silence you should know that the hotel next to them plays loud music during the weekends so ask for a room which is not facing this place.

Unmad is run by an amazing couple - Aparna and Krishan, I couldn't wish to be received by nicer, more caring, intelligent people than them. Loved their food, loved their suggestions for things to do, loved their and their neighbour dogs. A heart warm place to escape reality :))

Great vibe, great view, awesome nature and super-friendly owner. They picked us up in the middle of the night when Road was blocked. Also Holi was very cute, nice and intense 😁

Excellent attentive staff, great location, amazing views, comfortable rooms, hot water. Lucky enough to catch their rhododendron trees in bloom and regular visits by langurs. Lots of steps involved in upper Dharamkot , but considered as a perfect workout each day

For my needs, it was just perfect!

I fell in love with this place!! Aparna & Krishan are the most welcoming & kindest people! The rooms are very spacious, clean & beautifully furnitured! You can either enjoy the views from the room on a little patio or a little balcony. It also has a new cute café on the terrace where the cute dogs are bustling around ☺️ It also serves decent food! Located in the mountains, its a good starting point to do some hikes, visit temples or Just enjoying the warming atmosphere of the guesthouse. Anything that is needed (tips for hikes/sights/transport) Aparna was always there to help & very knowledgeable! I can warmly recommend this place! It has enormous charme, lovely people and beautiful landcape around!! If youre looking for a calm place to unwind this is the place! Thank you so much Aparna & Krishan, I will be back soon 🧡💚

I fell in love with this place!!! Aparna & Krishan are the most welcoming people! Located in the mountains, you can unwind at this very special place! Rooms are very thoughtful & warmly decorated, very Clean! & some of them even have mountain view and you hear the birds singing in the morning. You can explore the area around, enjoy the cute new café on the terrace that also serves decent food, and have a warming chat. Anything that was needed (tips for hikes, sights, transport,..) the hosts were super helpful. If you are looking for a welcoming, warm, quiet stay: go there! I can warmly recommend staying here, its a gem! 🧡
