The bathroom was smelly. Manager was rude. I asked for extra bed sheet and he immediately showed me Treebo’s customer care number and said I can move to another hotel if I don’t like the hotel. I was told the stay would be on ground floor because I was travelling with senior citizen parents, but the hotel reception is on the first floor.

Since the hotel is lower than hygiene level according to the Treebo hotel group which has this hotel, Treebo made this hotel stops working until the hygiene and clean level is recovered. Therefore, Therefore, I could not stay at this hotel. Cancel fee was refunded very quickly.

No communication, they ignored all my requests and didn’t even inform me that the property was closed. The road in front of the entrance was dug up and the property was locked

The breakfast was a moderate spread and a couple of dishes were not refilled once empty.

The rooms were very clean and the AC and restroom was quite clean. The staff was friendly. It's close to a lot of main attractions in town and saves on a lot of transportation money. Worth the money, had gone expecting worse but was genuinely surprised for the quality of the rooms considering the cost.

Room size is great for the family and couple. Location of the hotel is very good near to beach, french colony, restaurant and market. Breakfast is great. The hotel decoration has a heritage vibe.

There are no parking facilities available and that was not mentioned during the booking process. I have to park my new car 1 KM away and worrying about car/parking.

The room was not clean and they didn't give the extra bed as I booked the room for 3 adults. They changed 50% of the extra amount for water and other soft drinks. It is a very bad thing. I requested for early check in but they simply rejected. So my suggestion is please take ownership for this kind of options because if you leave it on the hotel side they will never accept these requests.

Rooms were nothing like in the pics.They need a fresh coat of paint and the linens could be cleaner.There was no mention when booking that the property did not have a lift.The 1 bottle mineral water policy was a bit stingy i felt.With the rising temperatures how much would it cost these chains to provide 2/3bottles per room.Rooms were too rustic for a family,more suitable for backpackers.Being on the main road there was very little public parking space available.Even if you could find one the car would be baking under the hot sun the entire day with not a single tree shade in sight.Pondicherry is a heat sink with barely any tree cover.

However, the disadvantages of this hotel greatly outweigh the positives. Firstly, the rooms are situated on the first and second floors and can only be accessed via small and narrow stairs as there is no lift facility available. This can be extremely inconvenient, especially for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues. Furthermore, due to its location on the main road, the constant traffic noise seeps into the rooms, even with the AC on and doors closed, disturbing the peace and tranquility of the stay. Moreover, the rooms lack basic amenities such as a fridge or cooler box and wardrobes to store clothes. The presence of open drainage around the rooms leads to unpleasant odors permeating through the corridors, making for an unpleasant experience. Additionally, the presence of mosquitoes in the room further detracted from the comfort of the stay. One of the disappointing aspects of the stay was the complimentary breakfast included in the package. The breakfast spread was limited, and once the items were depleted, they were not replenished with fresh stocks. Furthermore, the taste of the food was subpar, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with the stay. Overall, considering the amount paid for the stay, the service provided by Treebo - Red Lotus Heritage Promenade Beach fell short of expectations. The place was really unclean, especially the bathroom—it was a mess and was stinking. Even the white towels provided were dirty. Breakfast options were very limited, and the utensils were not clean either. The staff wasn't friendly at all; in fact, they were quite rude, especially when we had a payment problem. Overall, it wasn't worth the money we spent. I wouldn't recommend staying there.

One small issue we faced (apart from the absence of lift) was that our bathroom for the new room smelled and the exhaust wasn't working. Apart from that, the stay was comfortable and nice.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel staffs were so polite and helpful; we didn't know that there was no lift and we got a room in the 2 nd floor but my mom had medical issue and they took care of that. There hospitality was amazing. There breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options. All the places in the White town the promenade beach were at walkable distance.

High priced.... It's just a lodge category accommodation... whereas charged for a premium hotel accommodation.. Rs 3500+ per day... not worth it 2. Monotonous menu in complimentary breakfast ( of course charged in the tariff.. not free or complimentary)
