Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room door was not working properly however it was later fixed upon request
Very very friendly staff members who were very supportive and accommodating. Very good ambience of the hotel and amenities. Pool table and table tennis added a great entertainment value

An instance or 2 where housekeeping staff was not upto the mark- room wasn’t cleaned on time even after putting up d request. Had requested for coffee cups in d morning, which never turned up & then the tea spoons were missing.
The property was apt for family holiday, With a calendar of activities planned out for kids. Also the staff attitude and responsiveness towards the guests deserves appreciation.

Everything, our welcome by the staff was excellent. Arusha at the reception was very helpful. Staff of Jal Mahal the dining hall was exceptional. Always ready to help. Specially Chef Ajay he was amazing. He even packed some snacks for us.

Both the staff and the service were exceptional at the Trident. I was treated like royalty, and loved every second of my stay there. I have been to many 5*hotels all over the world, and I must say that the staff and the service at the Trident really are outstanding: Every wish was taken care of immediately, I did not even have to make any requests as the staff was very good at anticipating any and every possible request I could have made. I was offered to be moved to a room with a view of the lake after mentioning how interesting I thought the lake palace was. I didn’t even ask for the room. Service was also very personalized (I received free yoga classes, everybody in the hotel greeted by my name, my 90-minute massage was extended to 2 hours because I had apparently mentioned the steam room at some point during my stay, and so many more examples!). The staff also booked train and bus tickets for me at no additional cost and totally fuss free.

The plumbing and bathroom fittings could use an upgrade.
Staff. The staff was awesome! Rohit, Sylvester, Muskaan in the restaurant went above and beyond their call of duty. I have never seen this level of service anywhere in the world. Hats off. Everything about the hotel was great. We even forgot stuff in our rooms and they couriered it for free to us in a different city. I mean try to beat this level of care and hospitality for guests. This is why the Trident brand stands out. I have NO WORDS that will do justice to their service. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing...

Everything was really great! Wished the breakfast option included was slightly cheaper for what it was, but cognizant of the hotel standards it made sense at the end.
The staff of the hotel was incredible, and provided amazing hospitality. The room was very comfortable, and the common areas like the pool were great. The hotel was well located, not necessarily for walking distance, but central in taxi to the main attractions. Absolutely worth the price.
