“The man who greeted us at reception was absolutely fantastic. You could tell he loves his job, loves the hotel, is passionate about the history and the area, and although we weren't nervous about the volcano, he was VERY good at putting people's mind at ease. The food in the evening was excellent, and the cocktails matched. The whole hotel has a 'homely' vibe which was really nice. The hotel lounge, with honesty bar, fire place, jigsaws and puzzles, was such a nice way to relax. We had an early flight to catch, and yet we were still able to get up and make use of the breakfast buffet at 4am which was very much appreciated. We'd contemplated staying at the Blue Lagoon hotels, but will absolutely be back here. Very, very pleasantly surprised, one of the nicest environments I've stayed in in a long time. Room was nice, spacious, clean, comfy beds, nice coffee, couldn't fault it. 10/10 really.”
