“The place was amazing, probably the best throughout our trip. It has a great story, it offers a lot of information not only for the hotel but also the area and interesting facts about Iceland.
As we arrived, the woman at the front desk informed us that she has already prepared our breakfast and it is in the fridge in our room. And what a breakfast! It was very diverse and delicious.
The room offered a lot of ammenities and a great view. The bathroom was supposed to be shared, but as we were only two couples at the time with two bathrooms on the floor, it felt as if it is just for us. And the bathroom itself was renovated, modern, very warm, clean and had everything you need.
The best part was that the hotel was near a beach with a small dock and with almost no lights around we had the most amazing aurora view!
I highly recommend this place while travelling around Iceland!”
“This guesthouse was comfortable, inviting and beautifully furnished. The rooms were modern and spacious, and while the host was kind enough to upgrade me to a double room (given I was staying at a quiet time) I saw my originally booked room and it was also spacious, with its own table & fridge. The house was kept very clean, as well, so I felt really comfortable using the shared bathroom.
The location was beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the lake from my room, and the jacuzzi out the back was a welcome surprise and a great way to relax after a big day of exploring. Given how small a town this is, there was little light pollution and I was lucky enough to see the northern lights from the beach across the road. The local restaurant served delicious food as well!
The host was very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast served was delicious and great value for money. I wish I could have stayed for longer!”
